ACT therapy (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy https://www.psychologytoday.com/ca/therapy-types/acceptance-and-commitment-therapy) focuses on processes of psychological flexibility including values-rich behavioural change, along with aspects of mindfulness, acceptance, and compassion.

Far from being useless, talking precedes change; and change is easier to lean into on a foundation of compassion.
