This is important. I commend to everyone this letter from our bishop and the zoom call on June 14th at 7 pm to learn about the work our Bishop and others are engaged in to renew our treaty relationships with First Nations people in our region.

As your bishop, I have been on a journey – learning about the specific histories of our relationships with our Indigenous neighbours.

We were very happy to baptize Terry on Trinity Sunday at St. Luke's. And also celebrate May Birthdays! Cake did double duty.

God willing, our assistant curate, The Rev. Denise Byard, will be ordained a priest on Saturday, May 16th, at 4 pm at St. Luke's, 566 Armour Road, Peterborough. The Rt. Rev. Riscylla Shaw presiding. Your presence and prayers are requested and we look forward to welcoming you to this joyful celebration. We share this joy with our sister parish, St. John's Ida. For vesting clergy, the colour is red. Congratulations and all God's blessings to you, Denise as you take this important step in your life. Please note: there is parking to the rear of the church. A few years ago, our sign was damaged by being fired at with a pellet gun. We are so grateful to artist and fabricator Garret Gilbart who restored it by hammering a beautiful design into the damaged metal. Turning swords into ploughshares. Thank you Garret!
