Invite someone to church this Sunday morning (September 13th) at 10:00 am and stay after for food, fellowship and fun!

There will be pony rides, bouncy castle, inflatable obstacle course, face painting, balloon animals, hotdogs and ice cream.

Please join us at Selwyn Outreach Centre this Sunday, August 23rd at 10:00 am as we welcome our special guest speaker, Shannon McNevan.

Shannon was born and raised in Peterborough and attended Selwyn Outreach Centre and its school, New Life Christian Academy, from Grade 4 through high school graduation. After earning a hockey scholarship to Bowdoin College in Maine, Shannon played professionally in Germany before moving into sports management, leading the turnaround of several professional hockey organizations.

He later transitioned into the music industry, co-founding Boots & Hearts (B&H) Music Festival, which grew to become Canada's largest country camping music festival. His career has since included launching the WayHome Music & Arts Festival, LASSO Music Festival in Montreal which has surpassed B&H as the largest country music festival in Canada (see photo and quote below), served as Head of Country A&R for Universal Music Canada, and co-founded Starseed Entertainment, which has become one of Canada's leading independent record labels and artist management companies.

Today, Shannon serves as Managing Partner of Shield Water Ventures with his brother Scott, where he is helping lead the vision for a transformational waterfront entertainment district here in Peterborough.

Throughout his career, his passion has remained the same: building organizations that are led with vision, developing leaders, and creating platforms that positively impact communities with the love of Jesus. Shannon and his wife, Claire, live in Burlington with their three sons Charlie, Henry, and Brady.
