The Peterborough Children's Chorus is an auditioned choir open to students ages 8 to 18 living in Peterborough and the surrounding area. PCC helps students develop musical expertise and pursue excellence through the rehearsal and performance of choral music. PCC provides exciting opportunities for learning, belonging, and building self-esteem. The Peterborough Children's Chorus follows all local g

uidance from Peterborough Public Health for preventing the transmission COVID-19. If you have questions or concerns about specific COVID-19 protocols, please direct them to your local public health unit or local government representatives.

Last year, our community helped support 15 singers who might not otherwise have accessed music education, and next year we want to expand that to 20.

We have two very special people who have stepped in to help us fill our September subsidy fund…AND IT'S THESE MOMS! 💛💛

Artistic Director Anna's mum and step mum have been long time supporters of the Children's Chorus, and they're not about to stop helping kids sing now! Until June 30, every gift will be DOUBLED! Help us get the subsidy pot to $3000! 🎶🎶 GO MOMS!

20 early birds are registered, and you still have one week left to guarantee this years' fees for next years' program. New joiners welcome! We have subsidies available for early birds too! www.peterboroughchildrenschorus.com

We will be holding "placement auditions" in September, which means spending 10-15 minutes in a small group to sing and clap so we can find the best choir and voice part for your growing skills. ✨

All members of the community are welcome to join the Peterborough Singers. If you can read music, and are willing to commit to attending Wednesday evening rehearsals and to practice regularly, then we invite you to audition with us.

Shout out to stellar musician Melody Thomas for coming to the rescue this term when we needed additional support. She showed up with energy, enthusiasm, and expertise, leading rehearsals, conducting performances, and sometimes just being present to jump in as needed. We are so grateful to have you in our corner. Thank you for helping to carry the music this term. We couldn't have pulled it off without you, and we are forever grateful. 😊🥰🎶

Some clips from another of our workshop days! So much progress was made towards our concert (Which is on May 3, and you should definitely come)

During our workshops choristers have the opportunity to learn more in-depth about sight reading, reading sheet music, and much more about using our voices!

This time around we not only learned about music, but we started making our own using solfège (Do, Re, Mi, you know the rest!)

The progress in skill our choristers have made even over just these past weeks is remarkable. Come see for yourself May 3, 3pm, at All Saints’ Anglican Church.
