After 30 years of serving families in Peterborough and the surrounding communities, Lois officially retired on April 30.
Over the years, she has helped generations of families create meaningful memorials.
For many, Lois was the comforting voice on the other end of the phone. Whether helping arrange the lettering of a date of passing or assisting with the design of a new memorial, she approached every conversation with compassion and understanding.
Lois worked alongside Rod Verduyn for the first 20 years of her career, and after his retirement, continued on with Derrick Lennox to help build Kawartha Monuments into what it is today.
What truly set Lois apart was not only her knowledge and experience, but the genuine care she brought to every family she met. She had a way of making people feel heard, supported, and at ease during some of life’s hardest moments.
As she enters this next chapter, Lois is looking forward to spending more time with her husband and grandchildren. While she may be retiring, we know many people will still see her around her church and at Bridgenorth Cemetery.
Lois, thank you for your dedication, your kindness, and the lasting impact you’ve had on so many families over the years.
You will always be a cherished part of the Kawartha Monuments family.
