St Francis of Assisi Chapel is affiliated with the Military Ordinariate of Canada...a military chapel. We have one bilingual Sunday Mass at 10:30am.

Just a reminder - there is no children’s liturgy or sacramental prep this weekend. Both will resume on Sunday May 24th during mass. 🙂 also, I will pass along a sign up to Padre Wendy for the potluck breakfast. The breakfast is happening after mass on the 24th. Feel free to sign up at the chapel. It will be on the board between the board/meeting room and the chapel. Thank you :)

Hello all! On Sunday May 24, we will be holding a pot luck brunch after mass. After brunch, we will be doing some planting in our gardens. The chapel will provide tea and coffee. Here are some items that are needed for the brunch:

Apple juice
orange juice
Milk
cream
Fruit
Scrambled Eggs
Bacon
Sausage
Hashbrowns
Fried onions
Baked beans
Pancakes
Jam
Ketchup
Butter/margarine
Toast bread (2 loafs - can be done at the church)
Baked goods for dessert

A MASSIVE community yard sale is being organized on the base chapel grounds, it is free to participate.
Contact myself to register for a space as they are limited! Make some money off your spring cleaning!

Hello all!

Liturgies will resume this Sunday at 10:30. This week, we will have baptisms after mass and coffee hour. :)

Also, We are looking for Catholics to use their talents: greeters at the door, Lector readers, offering collectors to help. Please see Padre after service or call her at 613 281 4090

Fellowship & Fun Sunday 19 April : St Francis of Assisi and St George’s Chapel communities are having a time of fellowship over breakfast right after service at the Legion. Cost is 12$ per person.

All are invited. Hope to see you there!

Pastoral Council Members: Congregational Meeting & Chapel Spring Clean Sun 03 May. This is a time to hear your voices and desires for the chapel and its growth. Come with your ideas, initiatives, what do you want or need from this community, for your spiritual growth and how can we grow our mission work. Discussion to be held right after Liturgy with the Pastoral Council members; followed by a light spring clean up of the kitchen and flowerbed outside the chapel. Light refreshments will be provided.

Hello all!

There will be no mass at the chapel for Holy Thursday. Here are some options:

St. Columbkille’s Cathedral on Thursday at 7pm

Most Holy Name of Jesus Parish on Thursday at 7pm

Our Lady of Sorrows petawawa at 5:15 on Thursday

As well, children’s liturgy will be on hold for the month of April since I will be away on all weekends. It will restart for the first week of May. I apologize for the inconvenience.

If there are any children (grade 2), that are ready for the sacrament of first reconciliation and first communication - please message our Facebook group. If there are any children (grade 6), that are ready for the sacrament of confirmation - please message our Facebook group as well. Thanks so much!

Hello parishioners!

Beginning this Friday, from 12:00 to 13:00, Traditional Stations of the Cross will be held at St. Francis of Assisi Chapel (except Friday, 20 March, due to March Break).

Additionally, this Friday, 06 March at 14:00, the World Day of Prayer will be held at St. George’s Chapel.

This spring, we will be holding classes for first communion, first reconciliation, and confirmation. If you are interested in having your child complete their sacraments, please reach out through facebook messenger or you can speak to Julia Harriet after mass on Sunday.
