St. James Anglican Church, Perth St James is an Anglican Christian Community blessed with a beautiful and historic worship space. All are welcome! The Parish family of the Church of St.

Sunday worship is at 8am (Book of Common Prayer - said Eucharist) and 10am (Book of Alternative Services - choral Eucharist). James the Apostle in Perth traces our roots as an Anglican Christian Community to the early years following the founding of our town as a Military Settlement after the war of 1812. Our current place of worship, fellowship and service was established in 1861 and we have been

blessed to steward and further the ministry of generations of faithful Christians here. In recent years we have reached out to the elders of the nearest First Nations Community โ€“ the Shabot Abadjiwan First Nation โ€“ to support their efforts at re-establishing permanently reserved lands on their ancestral territory west of Perth and to assist them in the vital work of recovering their language and culture. Each time we gather we acknowledge that we are meeting and worshipping on unceded ancestral territory of the Algonquin people. We pray that God would grant us to live in peace and friendship with all the peoples of this land.

Over the last couple of weeks, our community has stepped up once again, bringing in a wonderful $5,025 in new donations toward our "Home Stretch" campaign! Every single dollar moves that progress bar a little bit closer to the finish line, and we are so grateful to everyone who has pitched in to help us bridge the final $144,975 gap.

Seeing that bar fill up isn't just about numbers; it represents future doors opening, keys being handed over, and 15 local families gaining a safe, comfortable and affordable place to call home this fall.

Now that the building envelope is fully enclosed, stepping inside gives you a real sense of the spaces we are creating. The framing is up, the rough-ins are moving right along, and you can officially stand in what will soon be bright, beautiful living rooms and kitchens for 15 local families.

Every stud, wire, and ray of sunshine in this space represents a fresh start and a foundation for a better life. Our crews from Saumure Construction are making incredible use of the ideal spring weather to power through this interior phase.
