What a great Little Branches Rural Roots conference! 3 of our staff spent a day learning about AI literacy, effective partnerships, sharing programming ideas, and hearing about unique ways of doing things.

Thanks for hosting Pembroke Public Library!

We had a fantastic learning experience at the "Little Branches, Rural Roots" Library Conference, hosted by the Pembroke Public Library! 📚✨ Our staff took part in inspiring sessions on technology and AI, programming, emergency planning, Indigenous library partnerships, Renfrew County collaborations, Library Boards (applications for next Board term opening soon!) and so much more!
A huge thank-you to the Downtown Renfrew-Renfrew Business Improvement Area and In A Bind Renfrew: Valley Refillery & Bookstore for contributing conference swag, and to the Pembroke Public Library for bringing everyone together and hosting such an amazing event 👏❤️ We came away with fresh ideas, new connections, and plenty of inspiration to bring back to our community (and maybe even the possibility of hosting the conference right here in Renfrew one day! 🤩🤞)

Holy Trinity gathered today with our neighbours from Calvin United Church-Pembroke in anticipation of the National Day for Truth & Reconciliation. We wore orange and offered a blessing for quilts that will soon be shared through the amazing work of quilts_for_survivors. Parish of the Valley

Our food bank needs some support 🙏🏻

Many of the shelves at the Food Bank are getting really low. Demand is very high at this time of year and any monetary donations or donations of food that you can spare would be much appreciated. Canned good and non-perishable food items are best. A full list of needed items is on our webpage at stjosephsfoodbank.ca.

Thank you to our friends at the Upper Ottawa Valley Heritage Centre and to The Intermittents for another beautiful service of summer evensong. It was a blessing to gather with friends from across our Anglican Parish of the Valley and beyond in the museum’s historic Micksburg Church. A recording of the service is available on our parish YouTube channel: https://youtu.be/06Ic1oKkwjo?si=QXrF6v1PtY7ewEmB
