Meet a desperate mother who refused to stop seeking Jesus. Even when He seemed silent and her need appeared overlooked, she continued to cry out for mercy with persistent and humble faith.

Her story reminds us that Jesus is never indifferent to those who genuinely seek Him. In the end, His mercy proved greater than her desperation, and her great faith was met with His gracious power.

Only Jesus can cleanse what human effort never can. When we come to Him in faith, He gives us new hearts that desire to honour Him—not just with our words, but with our whole lives.
Today, we look at Matthew 15:1–20 and discover what it means to have Clean Hands, Defiled Hearts—and the transforming grace of Jesus.

The Seniors Care Grant is back and ready for Seniors to apply!

Eligible seniors can receive $750 to help with things like household and healthcare services and home heating costs.

Be sure to share this with a loved one who you may think is eligible or apply yourself when applications open on and you can do so online, at an Access Nova Scotia location, or at your Local MLA's office.

This is one more way we are helping our seniors with the cost of living and protecting household budgets in these difficult times.

🌿 NAOMI & RUTH — HOPE & HEALING FOR WOMEN 🌿

We’re excited to welcome Naomi & Ruth to Open Arms on Sunday, September 20th, during our morning service!

Naomi & Ruth is a faith-based residential recovery program dedicated to helping women find hope, healing, and a fresh start. Through a safe and supportive environment, women are given the opportunity to heal, grow, rebuild their lives, and move forward with dignity and hope.

We received a notice from FAIR, our mission organization through the Fellowship that Open Arms belongs to. They are appealing for aid to help the Nepal Baptist Church Council provide relief camps for 500 families that have lost everything in the massive landlides. If you are looking for a way to help financially this is one trustworthy way you can do so.
Please pray for the landslide victims, families,emergency workers, rescuers, and relief workers in Nepal and Tibet. There are 100's dead and still many people missing.
These also are the prayer requests from FAIR:
for the safety of workers providing relief to those impacted; pray for effectiveness as they share the love of Christ
for wisdom for NBCC as they seek the most impactful ways to support those in greatest need both now and in the future
