St. Mary the Protectress Ukrainian Orthodox Church St. Mary's is a warm and welcoming parish with services mostly in English and some Ukrainian. We invite you to join us. We are Orthodox.

Folks from many different backgrounds attend our church. Romanian, Serbian, Greek, Georgian and others.

Takeout Perogy Supper Notice:
Friday, August 28 from 5-7:00pm at St. Mary the Protectress Ukrainian Orthodox Church , 594 Karls Way, Parksville.

Prices remain the same at:
$20 for a full perogy meal with sausage, fried onions, cole slaw, sour cream and dessert
$18 without sausage
We accept cash only at this time .

Thank you for your continued support of our church during a time when our charity , through our Ukraine Fund, is sending generators and power pacs to widows and wounded veterans in Ukraine. We are grateful for community support.

August 24 is a day of celebration in Ukraine. It is the date of Independence as adopted at the Verhkhovna Rada in 1991. This was a turning point in the modern history of Ukraine. It symbolized freedom, dignity and the indomitable spirit of the Ukrainian people.
Today as air raid sirens sound, shelling is heard and people raise their flags high, wear embroidered shirts and often look at charitable causes to help with.
Let us continue to pray and support the people of Ukraine.

Perogy Supper Notice:
July 31 from 5-7:00pm
Please join us for our takeout perogy supper at our church on Karls Way, Parksville.
The prices remain the same:
$20 for full meal with perogies, sausage, coleslaw , sour cream and dessert
$18 without sausage
We only take cash at this time .
We have frozen fruit pies for $20. Take them home and bake them.
Our Ukraine Fund for veterans and widows in Ukraine is offering cards for $6. All funds/donations go to purchasing generators and power banks . They have limited power sources so these are gifts they are grateful for. Thank you for helping us support our charity as well as our little temple here.

Perogy Supper on Friday!
June 26 from 5-7:00pm we will be serving up takeout dinners.
Prices remain the same at:
full dinner $20
without sausage $18
This includes potato and cheddar cheese perogies , cole slaw, sausage, fried onions , sour cream and dessert.
We have freshly made frozen pies for sale this time around!
They are $20 and are fruit pies.

Our Ukraine Fund is selling cards for $6 with all money going to the fund which supports veterans and widows in Ukraine.
Turn at the Columbia Beach turnoff and down Karls Way to our little church .

Thank you so much for supporting us and our charities all these years. We are blessed to have the community support.
Also note that Knox United Church is having speakers on the Ukraine war this coming Saturday, June 27th at 1:00pm with donations coming to our Ukraine Fund.

The war in Ukraine continues leaving many people injured, widowed and others in great need of support.
We continue to ask for donations to our Ukraine Fund so we can purchase more generators and power pacs for folks in Ukraine.
On June 27th from 1-3:00 pm Knox United Church here in Parksville will be presenting 2 speakers for us.

Takeout Perogy Supper Notice for this coming Friday, May 29th from 5-7:00pm at our church on Karls Way Parksville.

The prices remain the same :
full dinner is $20 while a dinner without sausage is $18.
Currently we do not have any frozen pies or perogies for sale.
This is a takeout only dinner service.
The dinner consists of sausage, perogies, cole slaw, fried onions and topped with sour cream. A dessert is included.

Perogy Supper Notice:
April 24th we will hold our first takeout perogy supper of the year.
Time is 5:00-7:00pm at our church at 594 Karls Way, Parksville.

The prices remain the same at:
$20 for full supper with sausage, perogies, cole slaw, sour cream, fried onions and a small dessert.
$18 for meal without sausage

At this time we do not have any frozen perogies or pies for sale . We are such a small church that we depend on volunteers for everything and right now we cannot offer frozen food for sale.

Come hungry!

We continue to accept donations for our Ukraine Program. At this time we are purchasing generators and power banks for disabled veterans and widows. Consider supporting this great need.

Pascha Service Notice:
Holy Trinity Cathedral in Vancouver will be bring us two services online this week:
Thursday at 7:00pm Holy Thursday Service Reading of the Gospels
Friday the 10th will be the Good Friday Service at 7:00pm.
Information will be sent out by Debbie this week.

Fr. Roman will ferry over on Saturday for our special 'Easter' service.
We will start with the Bringing In The Shroud at 9:30 on April 11th.
Following will be Divine Liturgy at 10:00am.
