Join us today
as we reflect and participate on Pentecost Sunday! Today's Message "Still With Us: God’s Empowering Presence" is based on: Acts 10:24–48; John 14:16–18.

In this message, we will explore the "Aftermath of an Empty Tomb" by looking at the promise of the Holy Spirit. While we often focus on the dramatic signs of Pentecost—like wind and fire and speaking in tongues—the deeper meaning is the fulfilled promise of God's constant, empowering presence.

Through the "Second Pentecost" in Acts 10, we are reminded that the Spirit refuses to be put in a box and is already at work in the lives of those we least expect.

This Short Study is based on Pastor Paulo's Message "Still With Us: God’s Empowering Presence" based on Pentecost: Acts 10:24–48; John 14:16–18.In this messa...

Join us today at GBC at 10:30am - as we reflect on the Ascension of Jesus. Feel free to use our "Sermon Notes" (Fill in the Blanks) Follow Along Sheet.

Click for the Short Bible Study based on Pastor Paulo's message titled “The Ascension: Timeless Witnesses” from Luke 24:44–53.

Today, we step into a key—and often overlooked—moment in the story of Jesus' Mission--The Ascension. Jesus is lifted into heaven, not ending His mission, but bringing it to its next unfolding chapter through His Church.

This passage is rich with insight that’s easy to miss at first glance. Jesus’ departure is not abandonment—it’s commissioning. His followers are not left alone, not left aimless, and not left uncertain. Instead, they are sent out as witnesses of His kingdom, called to carry His story into every space of life—not building our own name or kingdom, but participating in His.

The great news is that we don’t do this in our own strength. Jesus promises His ongoing presence and power through the Holy Spirit, equipping us for a mission that is both local, timeless and always contextual.

Here's the short study based on today's message at GBC. Today we will continue our teaching series, “The Aftermath of an Empty Tomb,” as we build on last week’s message.

This time, Pastor Paulo will be focusing on Luke 24:33–49, along with the parallel account in John 20:19–25, where we discover a few more important details - "From Followers to Sent."

In this week’s Study, we step into the moment where everything changes. The risen Jesus meets not only His apostles, but other gathered followers—and sends them. What does it mean that we are sent like Him?

And how does that shape the way we live in our homes, workplaces, and everyday spaces? These are just a few of the questions we’ll be exploring together.

Join us this Sunday at 10:30am, as we kickstart a new Teaching Series: The Aftermath of an Empty Tomb. Today, we'll explore how the Risen Jesus transforms not just what we believe—but how we live. We'll reflect on lessons from the "Road to Emmaus - From Brokenness to Burning Hearts" based on Luke 24:13–36, 44–49.

We'll trace the journey from confusion and doubt… to clarity, peace, and purpose. We’ll explore the real, historical foundation of the Resurrection and notice how an encounter with the risen Jesus turns ordinary followers into people sent with a message of forgiveness and hope.

The empty tomb isn’t just something to remember—it actually changes everything.

He is RISEN!!! - Join us today as we celebrate Jesus' Resurrection with Baptisms @ 10:30am.

In a world that often feels heavy with uncertainty, brokenness, and loss, the resurrection of Jesus is not just a moment in history—it’s a living hope for today.

The stone was rolled away. The grave was empty. Death was defeated. What looked like the end on Friday became the greatest victory on Sunday. Jesus stepped out of the tomb, and with Him came new life, new purpose, and a promise that darkness will never have the final word.

He appeared 1st to a couple of women, then His disciples (at various times), then to more than 500 people at once. Those same disciples who once hid in fear, went on to boldly proclaim His name—many even giving their lives for this truth.

Their life changing transformation and the world changing movement that followed--despite persecution, stands as powerful witness: Jesus is alive!

Because He lives, there is hope for the weary, forgiveness for the broken, and life beyond the grave for all who believe.

This Resurrection Sunday, may we be reminded: No matter how dark the night feels… resurrection is here and is coming.

He is risen indeed! 🙌

Happy Good Friday!! Ever wonder what is good about “Good Friday?” In a world that often feels heavy—marked by conflict, uncertainty, injustice & quiet personal struggles—it can be hard to see what’s good about a day centered on suffering and death.

And yet, this is exactly where hope meets us. Because on the cross, Jesus stepped into the darkest parts of our world—and our lives. There, He took on sin, evil, grief, and brokenness, not from a distance, but personally.

What looked like defeat became the turning point of history. The cross tells us that darkness does not get the final word. Love does. Grace does. God does.

Good Friday is good because it reminds us that even in our worst moments, we are not abandoned—and redemption is available & already in motion. So today we pause. We reflect. We come honestly.

This Good Friday at 10:30 AM, we invite you to join us at GBC Parkhill for a meaningful and reflective worship gathering, as we remember and retrace the final moments of Jesus—His suffering, His sacrifice, and His deep love for us.

Join with us, as we share in the Lord's Supper, as we remember Jesus, the weight of the cross—and the hope it brings, even now.
