Did you know you can pursue a ministry degree without leaving Newfoundland?

Spruce Hills is proud to be a Church Hub partner with Master's College & Seminary, giving students the opportunity to complete ministry training while remaining connected to their local church community.

Whether you're considering full-time ministry, exploring a call to leadership, or looking to deepen your biblical and theological education, this pathway is available for all ages and stages of life. Study part-time or full-time, serve in ministry, and gain hands-on experience through internships right here at Spruce.

If God has been stirring something in your heart for ministry, don't ignore it. Take the next step and explore what this opportunity could mean for you.

Reach out for more info if required or visit mcs.edu if you're ready to apply.

🌱 PLANTING NIGHT UPDATE 🌱

Our new soil didn't arrive, so we have to postpone tonight's community garden planting night.

We're hoping to reschedule for early next week — stay tuned for the new date and time!

Thanks for understanding, and we can't wait to plant with you soon! 💚

If you know someone who was planning on coming, please share this update with them.

🥕 Community Garden Planting Night

For a number of years, we've grown vegetables right here at Spruce Hills and donated the harvest to our local food bank each fall to help families in need.

Tonight, we're planting for another season, and we need some extra help filling up our boxes after relocating them this week right behind the church building.

We'll be filling garden boxes with fresh soil, planting seeds, and getting everything ready for the months ahead. No gardening experience is required — just come ready to lend a hand. (If you do have a green thumb, we'll gladly accept the help!)

⏰ 6:00 PM

If you have a shovel or wheelbarrow, please bring it along.

This is a great opportunity for individuals, families, kids, students, and seniors to serve together. Everyone is welcome.

Whether you're newer to Spruce or have been here for years, this is a great opportunity to spend time with other families and build relationships outside of Sunday morning.

🌍 Family Sunday — This Weekend

This Sunday will be a special Family Sunday at Spruce.

We’re welcoming global workers we support who serve in a Restricted Access Nation, and they’ll be sharing with both our kids and our entire church family about what God is doing through their ministry.

Because of the sensitive nature of their ministry, there will be no livestream or recording this Sunday.

Family Sundays are always a meaningful opportunity to worship together across generations, and this week will be especially unique as we hear stories of faith, courage, and God’s work among the nations.

A very exciting first staff meeting with a team of three today.

This past Sunday on Vision Sunday, we shared a little of the story behind this moment. As we discerned the future of Spruce Hills, one need became increasingly clear: administrative support.

What we didn’t know was that God was already at work.

Without knowing this, Daina approached us feeling called to serve our church administratively. Her willingness to say “yes” has been a beautiful reminder of God’s timing and provision.

We’re so grateful for Daina and excited for this next season. Her service creates space for our pastoral team to pastor, our ministry leaders to lead, and our church family to continue growing well.

Welcome Home, Daina! 💙

Vision Sunday — June 7

This Sunday is an important Sunday in the life of our church.

Over the past several months, we've been praying, seeking God, and walking through a process of strategic discernment.

This Sunday, we'll share some updates about where we are today and where we sense God leading us as we prepare for the Fall and beyond.

If Spruce Hills is your church home, we encourage you to be present for this special Sunday.
