St. George’s Family Ministry is excited to host a Family Karaoke Night on Friday, Aug. 14 from 6:30 - 8:00 p.m. This fun-filled night will be held in the Parish Hall and both parish members and the Owen Sound community are invited. Light refreshments will be provided. So, bring yourself, family and friends to sing along to your favourite songs from a wide variety of genres and enjoy spending community time together. Today, Thursday July 9th, at St. George's Food Share, 61 people received a helping hand with their food needs. Some were first-time visitors, some are regulars, and others come only when they need a little extra help. Our youngest guest today was just 14 months old, visiting with his mother and two sisters.

The two photo collages tell today's story. One shows our food cupboard before we opened at 10:00 a.m. and again at 12:00 noon. The other shows our food table before and after Food Share. They are a simple reminder of what a caring community can accomplish together.

Food insecurity doesn't take the summer off, and neither does Food Share. Every Thursday from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon, our doors are open to anyone who needs a little help thanks to the generosity of our parishioners who donate food and the dedication of our volunteers. Everyone is welcome.

🎉 Church Birthday Potluck Celebration 🎉

What a wonderful afternoon! On Sunday, June 28, more than 60 members of our parish family gathered to celebrate our Church Birthday with a delicious potluck supper and great fellowship.

Canon Reverend Mark Loyal welcomed us with a time of reflection on the importance of our faith and church. We also enjoyed an inspiring presentation by Wendy Woodhouse, who shared a video about the work of the Canadian Foodgrains Bank and Alongside Hope in helping communities in Kenya improve food security.

A heartfelt thank you to our Stewardship Committee for organizing this special event, and to everyone who brought food, attended, and helped make the celebration such a success. We are truly blessed to be part of such a caring church family.
