St. George’s Family Ministry is excited to host a Family Karaoke Night on Friday, Aug. 14 from 6:30 - 8:00 p.m. This fun-filled night will be held in the Parish Hall and both parish members and the Owen Sound community are invited. Light refreshments will be provided. So, bring yourself, family and friends to sing along to your favourite songs from a wide variety of genres and enjoy spending community time together. Perhaps some hidden talent will be discovered! Don't miss all the fun and hope to see you there!

Today, Thursday July 9th, at St. George's Food Share, 61 people received a helping hand with their food needs. Some were first-time visitors, some are regulars, and others come only when they need a little extra help. Our youngest guest today was just 14 months old, visiting with his mother and two sisters.

The two photo collages tell today's story. One shows our food cupboard before we opened at 10:00 a.m. and again at 12:00 noon. The other shows our food table before and after Food Share. They are a simple reminder of what a caring community can accomplish together.

Food insecurity doesn't take the summer off, and neither does Food Share. Every Thursday from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon, our doors are open to anyone who needs a little help thanks to the generosity of our parishioners who donate food and the dedication of our volunteers. Everyone is welcome.
