We are saddened to share the passing of Major John Harker this morning, at the age of 86. 🕊️

We hold John’s family, friends, and all who knew and loved him in our prayers during this difficult time. May they find comfort in the hope and promise we have in Christ.

“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” - Psalm 34:18

A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted from the Salvation Army Owen Sound Community Church, 365 14th St W, Owen Sound, on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, at 11:00 AM. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.

Just come with a desire, a question, or maybe a little curiosity about who God is and what He has planned for each of us. ❤️

Every Thursday at 10:00 AM, we’ll come together, open the Bible, learn, ask questions, share, and discover a little more about God and His plan for our lives.

Some seasons knock us down. Some days feel a little darker than others. But darkness doesn’t get the final word. ❤️

“Though I fall, I will rise again. Though I sit in darkness, the LORD himself will be my light.” - Micah 7:8 NLT

What a promise! When life knocks us down, God is still there. When the way forward feels dark, His light is still shining. ✨

So keep going, keep trusting, and keep looking toward the Light. 💛
