The Ottawa Campus Chaplaincy creates hospitable spaces for students, faculty and staff to explore Christian faith and to practice justice and mercy in God’s world. Home should never be a space where you are alone. Whether it’s a connection to friends and/or a connection to God, we want your time on campus to be one in which you’re developing rich relationships that help you engage with Christ, with community and with culture.

Are you a creative student looking to make a meaningful impact? The Ottawa Campus Chaplaincy (OCC) is looking for our first-ever Communications & Engagement Coordinator!

This is a student-focused role designed to help us share our story, connect with our campus community at uOttawa and Carleton, and support our mission of fostering a sense of belonging on campus.

The Details:
Pay: $20 - $21 / hour
Hours: 8–12 hours/week (Super flexible for your studies!)
Start Date: August 24, 2026
Location: Primarily Remote + occasional on-campus activities

Who you are:
A student in Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
A storyteller with a heart for community and faith-based ministry.
Ready to manage social media, design newsletters, and help with fundraising.

WHAT: The Psalms of Ascent: A Pause to Reflect on our Journeys

The Psalms of Ascent (Psalm 120-134) are a series of 15 beautiful lyrics sung on a journey, or a pilgrimage. We will briefly explore the way these Psalms may have been used by Israel and how they lead us towards the cross of Christ with Good Friday around the corner. Then, we will read each of the 15 songs, pausing and using candles and imagery for reflection and prayer as we contemplate our own journeys of faith.
Join us for will be a relaxing, late semester Feast & Faith perfect for this time of cognitive fatigue.

We’re a community of believers and folks who are interested in faith on campus. Throughout the year, we invite guests to share about their experiences, including researchers, authors, scientists, and more—it’s a great way to meet other students, broaden your knowledge, and see an ecumenical community in action.
