❤️ Solemnity of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus ❤️

Today, the Church celebrates the Solemnity of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus—a profound reminder of God's infinite love for humanity.

The Heart of Jesus reveals a love that is compassionate, merciful, and faithful. It is a heart that welcomes the weary, comforts the suffering, forgives without measure, and calls each of us into a deeper relationship with Him.

As Oblates of Mary Immaculate, we are called to make known this love of Christ, especially among those who are most in need of hope, healing, and accompaniment.

May the Sacred Heart of Jesus renew our faith, strengthen our mission, and inspire us to be living signs of God's love in the world.

🙏 Daily Prayer for Thursday, June 11, 2026: Memorial of St. Barnabas, Apostle

Gospel Reading of the Day: Matthew 5:20-26

Prayer:
Lord Master, You desire a righteousness born from reconciliation and mercy. Heal the anger and resentment hidden within my heart and mind. Lead me to seek peace with others before offering anything to You. Like St. Barnabas, I want to be an instrument that builds Your Kingdom, here and now. Amen.

"In a world that so often feels cold, divided, and wounded, we need a deeper experience of God's love, which is not abstract, but personal; not distant, but near."

As we continue the month dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, Bishop Joseph Dabrowski invites us to rediscover the heart of the Gospel and the transforming power of Christ's love.

❤️ Sacred Heart Novena | June 3–11 ❤️

As we journey toward the Feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, we invite our communities to join in praying the Sacred Heart Novena.

Each day, let us bring our hopes, challenges, gratitude, and intentions to the loving Heart of Jesus, trusting in His mercy and compassion.

“Sacred Heart of Jesus, I place all my trust in You.”

Before we know it, July will be here, and that means the Oblate Young Adult Conference is coming quickly. This is open to all 18 to 35 year old Christians and those who are seeking. The Missionary Oblates of Mary Immaculate - OMI Lacombe Canada have contributed so much to the Catholic Archdiocese of Edmonton, and this is a wonderful opportunity to spend time with them. There are possibilities for subsidies for the conference and for travel. Please share with the young adults in your life!

💙 How do we heal broken relationships and find peace in a busy, divided world?

In this reflection for the Feast of the Holy Trinity, Fr. Gerard Conlan reminds us that God's example offers a simple but powerful pathway:

➡️ Mercy
➡️ Love
➡️ Unity

Just as the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit exist in perfect relationship and harmony, we are called to build stronger connections with those around us. Through acts of compassion, sacrifice, listening, and forgiveness, we can begin to restore relationships that may have been wounded by time, distance, or hurt.

This week, consider:
✨ Is there someone who needs your mercy?
✨ Can you make a sacrifice to rebuild a relationship?
✨ How might you help someone feel welcomed and included?

As Fr. Gerard writes, “The Holy Trinity reveals God as community, that is always ready to open its doors to others.”

On this solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity, we celebrate the profound mystery of the one true God in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Why is today's solemnity so important? Because by celebrating the Trinity, we are reminded of the central mystery of our faith and life.

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit: As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

Pope Leo XIV has released his first encyclical, Magnifica Humanitas, reflecting on the role of artificial intelligence in today’s world and the importance of safeguarding human dignity in an age of rapid technological change.

Marking the 135th anniversary of Rerum Novarum, the Holy Father describes AI as an “epochal turning point,” calling on society to ensure that technology remains at the service of the human person, the common good, solidarity, and peace.
