Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh! The UOttawa SSA presents everyone with our first ever Singh’s Social🙏🏼 This event will be focusing on giving Singh’s from our Ottawa sangat (community) the opportunity to connect with one another. Along with important, and recent Sikhi related discussions, icebreakers and honest conversations about challenges Singh’s face in society👔

This is an excellent opportunity to meet more Singh’s in our Ottawa student space👥 In addition, have major discussions on the significance of who Singh’s are, how one can represent that, and how one should go about spreading more Gyan (knowledge) about our Sikh values. The social will be a supportive and safe environment to express yourself, if desired.

This event is not limited to only Sikh students, students of all backgrounds and religions are welcome to engage in our event. There is an $8 entrance fee, which can be paid once entered into The Loft. Be sure to spread the word to as many Singh’s/people you know🗣 Link to register can be found below and in our instagram bio. Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh!

The UOttawa Sikh Student Association is finally kick starting things again this fall semester. We will be having an Intro to SSA Executives - Volleyball Game on September 25, 2022 from 4:30 PM - 7 PM. It will be at Britannia Beach. It is recommended to wear active attire & bring a water bottle. We will be introducing our team this year, along with playing a few games of volleyball. Our event is open to all students of any institution (UOttawa, Carleton, Algonquin, etc.). Open to Sikh's and Non-Sikhs. Link to register below and in our instagram bio. We hope to see you there! It has certainly been a while since we’ve all come together as a collective community. Nonetheless, we remain committed to our goals and hope that this email finds all of our community members well and in great health during this global pandemic.

Today, to celebrate Guru Amar Das Ji's Gurpurab, the SSA is releasing another round of crafty packages for children and youth of the greater Ottawa community to complete. As you may already be aware, these packages contain videos, stories, and other elements to keep participants engaged.

We understand the heightened stress and anxiety around these uncertain times. Please feel free to reach out to any member of the SSA team if you need to talk to someone. We stand together as a community and will move forward as one.
