Our story
haMakom/The Place, is a yeshiva, beit midrash, synagogue, and community gathering place. We aim to create a space of support and solidarity for all people. We provide a co-working, gathering, and study space with opportunities for chevruta (study partner); access to a growing, and comprehensive library/beit midrash; and a place of prayer and contemplation for all people. We offer classes, workshops, and other educational events grounded in Judaism and open to all. We offer women’s only Rosh Hodesh - New Moon gatherings. For women who are interested, mikveh rituals may be organised for individuals or groups. We also offer ‘hang out space’; coffee and tea bar; laundry facilities; and peer support on request.Menstrual collection products, and safer s*x supplies are available for donation.
Coaching, counselling and spiritual direction are available by appointment.
