St. Andrew's United Church, Cumberland

St. Andrew's United Church, Cumberland This community of Faith has been serving the Cumberland area 'religiously' since 1828!

Our focus is on the advancement of religious teaching (spreading the Word of God); supporting the efforts of other local charities such as the Orleans Cumberland Resource Centre; and contributing to the United Church of Canada's Mission and Service Fund for International Missions and Relief Services.

Raise the Roof - Fundraiser Campaign.
Unfortunately, the shingled roof on our 1990 addition is failing (36 years of service is pretty good!?). Can you assist the church with the roof replacement?
Charitable Donations can be made through E-transfers at fundraisers@standrewscumberland,org
Our goal is $8,000.00

The long and the short of it:

The short story:
The shingled roof over our 1990 addition is failing and needs to be replaced.
Several quotes have been obtained and our local roofing company, Nérée Lavictoire Roofing, has been selected as the successful contractor.
The total cost will be close to $8,000.00 and we need help from our members and the local community to fund this project.

How can you help? See donation options below

The longer version:

For nearly 200 years, St. Andrew's United Church has been a place of faith, hope, compassion, and community in Cumberland. Through times of celebration and sorrow, our church has welcomed generations of families, offering a place to worship, connect, and serve.

Today, we are asking for your help to preserve this cherished community landmark.

The shingled roof over our 1990 addition has reached the end of its useful life and must be replaced to protect our building from water damage and ensure it continues to serve our congregation and the wider community for years to come.

Our goal is to raise $8,000 to complete this important project.

Every gift, no matter the size, will make a difference. Whether you are a longtime member, a neighbour, a former attendee, or simply someone who values the presence of St. Andrew's in our community, your support will help safeguard a place that has faithfully served Cumberland for almost two centuries.

Your generosity is an investment in the future. Together, we can ensure that St. Andrew's remains a welcoming place where people gather to worship, celebrate life's milestones, support one another, and reach out in service to our community.

Please consider making a donation to our "Raise the Roof" Campaign. With your help, we can reach our goal of $8,000 and complete this essential work.

In God we trust...in community we gather...in each other we rely...to put it all together.
