Ever watched a home renovation show and wondered what it's like to upkeep a building almost 100 years old? Well, you can join Knox's Repair Crew on a low commitment, drop-in basis on Thursday evenings, learn some basic skills, delve into the recesses of a Gothic/Normandy building, meet some new people, and bring fiction into reality!

Behind the scene planning is already taking place for Knox's 32nd season of serving Out of the Cold meals to guests in the downtown community. Beginning on Saturday, Nov. 7 at 3:30 PM, Knox will open its doors to provide a warm, safe and welcoming space along with a hearty hot meal. Share with friends!

We welcome new co-coordinators, Ty and Joan, and are always grateful for our faithful team leaders, cooks, multi-generational volunteers, donors and people cheering on this essential service.

As we come closer to the tail end of our ‘One Roof for All’ campaign we want to share that a total of $133,258.65 has been received to keep the roof over Knox’s head.

As a community hub which offers space to AA, Lisgar Collegiate lunch drop-ins, choirs, meditation groups, book studies, writer’s events, dance troupes, housing and social action groups, political debates, book launches, candlelight concerts and Knox’s very own programming, the roof truly is for all.

Thank you community!

Shelter Movers, a rental group at Knox, was in the right place tonight, helping us move a small fridge up many stairs to the parlour at Knox.

They bridge urban-rural divides to support survivors of abuse across Ottawa and Eastern Ontario, delivering free, trauma informed moving and storage services.

Divine intervention. Thank you!

“But there is always a November space after the leaves have fallen when she felt it was almost indecent to intrude on the woods…for their glory terrestrial had departed and their glory celestial of spirit and purity and whiteness had not yet come upon them.”
― L.M. Montgomery, Anne of Windy Poplars

Planning ahead to that 'space after the leaves have fallen', let's gather as young adults to read and enjoy a play! Details are below.
