Meet the new Out of the Cold Co-Coordinators at Knox Church- Ty and Joan!

We are thrilled that they have taken on this role as together Knox and the wider community continue to serve guests a hot meal every Saturday from November to April.

Begun in 1995, folks at Knox saw a need to support our OOTC neighbours with a hearty supper and a bit of community in a time of growing food insecurity. The needs continue to be great 31 years later.

We are pleased that Ty and Joan will carry on this vision with open hearts and willing hands, co-ordinating a dedicated group of Team Leaders and intergenerational volunteers throughout the coldest months in downtown Ottawa.

Knox is hosting its second annual Thrift Sale on Saturday, October 24 from 9am-1pm. Save the date!

This sale will offer gently used/ "thrifted" items (as well as coffee and baked goods) at a low cost, with the goal of supporting our community, while also raising funds for Knox’s building and programs.

We welcome donations of:
-Gently used/new household items
-Gently used/new school supplies bags
-Gently used/new clothing
-Books
-Coffee supplies
-Baking (with written ingredients)
-Preserves (with written ingredients)

We also welcome volunteers!
It’s a low-key and fun community event to participate in.

This Sunday at 10:30 AM we welcome Susan Toman as our lead musician along with Kristin R. as our Cantor.

Pastor Jim’s sermon is based on readings from Romans 13:1-7; 1 Timothy 2:1-3; and 1 Peter 2:13-17.

Come join us for worship this Labour Day weekend. A nursery space is available for little ones and their parents if needed, and Kids Worship for ages 3-18 is offered partway through the service @10:45.
