It's Race Weekend! And Pentecost! After debating which one should be featured on today's post, we settled on… both. 🤷‍♀️

Let's pray for everyone's safety this weekend. And let's celebrate Pentecost this morning!

As always, church is at 10. If you are running this morning or are feeling stuck with today's road closures, you can find the service here: https://www.youtube.com/live/Kq9LVUafb34?si=nA-gNh6qShHJljzs

Spring is here and the grass is growing again!

At the AGM, the congregation of St. Paul’s took on responsibility for keeping the church lawns trimmed. Over the last couple years, a team of people came forward to serve, each coming out 2 or 3 times over the spring and summer to mow the lawn.

Can you serve with us on a couple of Fridays or Saturdays this season? Please contact Jeff at [email protected] for how you can sign up and join us in caring for our grounds.

In Paul’s letter to Timothy, he gives thanks for the spiritual mothering in Timothy’s life. “I have been reminded of your sincere faith which first lived in your grandmother Lois and in your mother Eunice and now lives in you also.” 2 Timothy 1:5

These examples of mothers with faith in Jesus reflect God’s mothering of us. Jesus tells his friends how he longs to gather those who refuse to believe in him as a hen gathers her chicks.

Ponder this mothering love of God this week and how you can be someone who transmits faith to those the Lord brings in your life.
