Today is Trinity Sunday, recognizing God as “The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit”. The Holy Trinity is a complex understanding in Christianity:

Christian monotheism does not recognize different gods for different things - we believe in one God with one will, one mind, and one plan for mankind. God is one in its nature and three in its persons. To the question “Who is God?” the reply would be “God is the Father. God is the Son. God is the Holy Spirit.” God cannot be recognized as a physical construct but strictly as a cerebral concept.

God is the ultimate superlative adjective whose nature admits of no competing god.

Tomorrow is Trinity Sunday, a day where we think about how our God is three-in-one: Father, Son and Holy Spirit, or Creator, Redeemer and Sustainer. We’ll also hear the beautiful story of creation from the Book of Genesis. We’ll explore how what we believe can be difficult to understand and how that impacts our faith lives.

I hope to see you in worship tomorrow, 8 am in person or 9:30 am in person or online.

Epiphany’s New Indigenous-Focussed Lending Library
The Outreach Committee has launched a new Indigenous-focussed lending library in Epiphany’s narthex. We would love to borrow your books written by Indigenous authors and about Indigenous issues. The books would be offered to be lent out to parishioners during the months of May, June and July. Please speak with Valerie Maier or email the office ([email protected]) if you can contribute. You can also access a playlist of Indigenous-made media here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1bc3oQO15Gl9b-q7QbAMX6WSttziOEGR4/edit
