Text: Luke 1:34-37
God works in different ways. Sometimes He gives specific invitations to individuals, and other times He releases generic invitations, open to anyone willing to be used by Him.
We see a specific invitation in the story of Mary. After the angel spoke to her, she asked, “How can this be?” This is often our response when God speaks. We try to understand how the impossible can happen.
If everything were natural, there would be no need for Christ. It is through the impossible that God reveals the supernatural.
God desires to partner with man. He is looking for people He can use to reach this generation. Many Christians have become so used to the natural that they no longer search for the supernatural.
In this season, God is making the impossible possible (Matthew 17:20). What seems out of reach will become a testimony.
God is impartial. It does not matter whether you are a pastor or not. Whatever a man sows, he will reap. His invitations are not based on titles, but on willingness and obedience.
In Judges 13:5, Samson was born out of prophecy, yet prophecy did not guarantee success. He did not fully complete his assignment. This shows that even when God gives a specific invitation, obedience is still required (Matthew 22:3–10).
God has released a generic invitation over the land of Canada. He is looking for those who will respond, those who will say yes.
In 2 Kings 7:1–5, we learn that not every open door is from God. Not every opportunity is divine. We must inquire of the Lord. Many times, the things we fear are also afraid of us. They are not as powerful as we think.
So when God tells you to act, why do you hesitate? Why say no?
God is able, but doubt limits our response. He is waiting for people who will trust Him fully and obey Him completely.
Acts 2:21 reminds us that “whosoever” (generic) calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved. When God sends you, He goes with you.
Do:
Take the word “whosoever” in the Bible and replace it with your name. Declare it over your life. Prophesy it with faith.
Step into God’s invitation and trust Him to make the impossible possible.
