As a community partner of ‘s Community Service Learning program, we are excited to have university student volunteers helping us prepare and distribute lunch bags to those in need at shelters in downtown Ottawa.

Salamalykoum everyone, as many of you know, Islam Care runs its own zakat program where we distribute your zakat funds to widows, orphans, lonely elderly women and the disabled in our community. We do disperse funds in person to people who in our communities.

Unfortunately, we haven't received enough money this year to cover all of our clients.

If you or someone you know needs to pay their zakat-ul-fitr, zakat-ul-mal (yearly zakat) or kaffarah (for broken fast).

🌙 Layth’s Legacy Project 2026

This Ramadan & Eid, Islam Care Centre is honoured to collaborate on Layth’s Legacy Project to support caregivers and sick children at CHEO (Ottawa).

Together, we are providing:
• Iftar meals for fasting caregivers
• Eid gift cards for hospitalized children
• Eid celebration kits, treats, and decorations to bring comfort and joy
This initiative is in loving memory of baby Layth, born in Ramadan and remembered for his strength and light. His legacy continues through acts of compassion for families facing difficult hospital journeys.
