here are the latest news regarding services at the chapel received from Padre Alex:

As the new COVID variant has moved so very quickly, our Chapel worship is adapting to keep up. Unfortunately this means more restrictions, as outlined below by our Senior Chaplain, Maj Al Murphy. Changes will begin this Friday at our 3:30pm Christmas Eve Service.

If you have any concerns, any questions, please call or email me. I look forward to worshiping with you and your families (there will be lots of room) this Christmas Eve.

"Due to the changing COVID- 19 pandemic status, Ottawa Public Health has recommend places of Worship move to restricting singing at services, as well as maintaining all other COVID -19 Restrictions we have been following; distancing, wearing masks, sanitizing hands, cleaning where we sit, etc.

As well Ottawa Public Health recommends places of Worship move to requiring Proof of Vaccination to enter (electronic or paper copy).

As Military Chapels adhere to municipal, provincial and federal health recommendations, we will following these guidelines and be implementing proof of Vaccination starting Dec 24 2021, at our Christmas eve services and going forward.

Thank you for your understanding, know we appreciate your support at this unprecedented time. Be assured of our continued prayers for you and your family. May we all have a Healthy, Merry and Happy Christmas and New Year."

Peace Padre Al

the latest from our FCC (Padre InSeob Won):
I hope this email finds you well.
Here we go again. It is sad but it looks like we are going to have some restrictions again. As most of you are already tracking, Ottawa Public Health announces capacity limits and additional public health measures on December 17, 2021 effective Monday, December 20 at 12:01 am.
According to the new announcement, Faith-based organizations and places of worship is limited to 50% or less.
Our chapel capacity is 200 people so 50% is 100. Our regular attendance is between 20 and 30 most of the time so we are not even close. This means we can still come to chapel as normal in terms of numbers.
However, I would suggest that we pause our coffee time until further notice. I also would like to suggest NOT to use the hymn books until further notice. The good thing is that for this Sunday, Padre Richard Larsen already put the lyrics in the bulletin so we can still sing or humming.
If you have any question or suggestion, please let me know.
Please stay safe!🙏
