Each summer, members of our community take turns leading a Sunday gathering and hosting a discussion or doing some teaching. Each year we engage a different theme.

This summer we are exploring the Psalms. Community members can sign up for a Sunday and lead us through a discussion of one of their favourite Psalms. This series is often a highlight as we get to hear from different people.

Last week, we heard a great message from Mary. Tomorrow, we will continue by looking at Psalm 13. How long?” the Psalmist cried. I’m sure many of us can relate.

See you tomorrow at 4 pm in the lower hall!

Last week, we talked about the question: “Who is the Holy Spirit?” This week, we’ll continue this series, talking about being filled with the Holy Spirit.

The concepts of “Being Filled with the Holy Spirit” and “Baptism of the Holy Spirit” can be quite confusing, and some of us have had hurtful church experiences related to these topics. This week we will discuss these important concepts. See you on Sunday at 4pm at 181 First. Ave!

*Also, we’re having a wedding/engagement party for Vincent and Deirdre this upcoming Wednesday, June 10! Check your emails for more info.

It’s Pentecost Sunday!

Today, we remember God gifting his children with his Holy Spirit. We will kick off a short series about the Holy Spirit and ask “Who is the Holy Spirit?”

See you soon!

Happy long weekend!

What if the place that looks most like weakness is actually where the power of God is most clearly revealed?

This Sunday, we’ll be looking at 1 Corinthians 1:18–31 in a message called “The Power of Foolishness.” Together, we’ll consider how the cross—something that looked like failure, shame, and foolishness to the world—was actually the wisdom and power of God at work to save, redeem, and restore.

And we’ll ask what it might mean for us to live in that same upside-down way of Jesus: not chasing power, status, success, or control, but learning to embrace humility, surrender, and deeper dependence on God.

Join us this Sunday at 4 as we have the opportunity to hear from Jeff from

I love Palm Sunday. As a kid, churches ladies placed palm branches in my hands and said I had permission to dance around. It never made much sense. But now, it is deeply significant.

Join us as we wave palm branches and cry out “Hosanna!”- Lord save us.

The message this week will unpack the character of Judas in the Holy Week narrative. He faced similar disappointment to the crowd who screamed “Hosanna” one day and “Crucify Him!” a few days afterwards. Jesus didn’t do what the people expected. Sometimes we also find ourselves disappointed in our spiritual walk. How will we respond?

This Sunday is potluck Sunday! 🥳

If you can, please bring a dish to share. After a long winter, it is appropriate that this month’s theme is comfort food! Sign up on email or our group chat to let us know what you are brining.

Before our potluck we will have a short family service. Join us as we wrap up our “Misuses of Power” series and reflect on Jesus as the Servant King.

See you on Sunday!
