💙 Oshawa Community – Thank You! 💙

We are so incredibly grateful for the continued support from our Oshawa community. Your encouragement, generosity, and heart for the mission mean more than you know.
While we are continuing to work behind the scenes to secure a new location, please know that our commitment to serving Oshawa and supporting our joint ministry partner remains strong. This community has always shown up in powerful ways, and we are excited about what the next chapter will look like.

Continue to follow us for updates as we work diligently to find the right space to reopen and serve you again. The right location takes time, but we are actively exploring opportunities and trusting the process.

Hey Mission Thrift Family!

As many of you know, we are continuing to try to find a new shopping and donation space to serve the Oshawa community. Through donating, shopping, and partnering with local schools and organizations, we have been blessed to make an impact in the city we love so much.

One of the ways we wanted to continue to offer something to the community was through finding a way to continue to take donations. We are grateful for the opportunity to make this happen!

OUR LAST DAY FOR COLLECTING DONATIONS WILL BE TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 25th UNTIL 4PM.

After this, the container and the drop-bin will no longer be at the 1300 Simcoe St location and we will not be available to continue to take donations.

We are SO GRATEFUL for each one of you! For your support, your prayers, your encouragement, and your heart to continue to give to Mission Thrift, making an impact not only in the city but also globally with Bible League!

When we find a place, we will be sure to let you know via social media and our website. We continue to look diligently for a new place and trust that the Lord is already at work there.

In the meantime, please continue to stop by, say hi, ask questions, and drop off your items until November 25th at 4pm! They will continue to support the local and global work of Mission Thrift.

Cant make it in time to The Container?

Great news! We have a new donation bin for you to drop off items! It is there 24/7. Please be sure to put all your items in the bin.

We do not take furniture or large items such as exercise machines or bikes (not in it or beside it), and we also cant take household hazardous, open beauty supplies or perfumes, garbage/waste from your home, or anything combustible or explosive (you would be surprised what we have found in it already!).

We appreciate you continuing to bring your donations here and as always - any questions feel free to reach out!

Good morning!

Are you building a donation box in your home and not sure where to bring it?

I have some GREAT news! We will continue to accept donations for the month of November (until November 30th) at 1300 Simcoe St N, at The Container!

The hours will be revised as we get cooler weather and it gets darker earlier (don't forget the time change this weekend!)

Starting tomorrow, November 1st:

Monday to Friday: 9:00am - 4:00pm
Saturday: 10:00am - 4:00pm
Sunday: CLOSED

We are so grateful for each of you as you continue to support Mission Thrift Store in Oshawa at our current donation location! We are seeing 20-25 cars per day - thank you! We know this is a challenging time, but we also know that God is faithful in His kingdom work even though we don't have a store location.

Ever wondered why donations are essential to Mission Thrift?

1. Goods become treasures - they're repurposed in another person's home, but you may have also seen it around the store! We do everything we can to minimize the impact on landfills.

2. There's value in every item - we care deeply about our community, but at the core of what we do is in our partnership with the Bible League of Canada. Every item bought helps our local community, but also brings hope and light through the work of Bible League!

3. People hear about Jesus! Both in the store and through the Bible League's work around the world (including close to home here in Canada!) - there is hope for everyone in the Name of Jesus!
