How does Jesus see you? The same way as He saw Matthew. Not as you are today. Not as you have been in the past. He sees you as into what He will make you. As someone to whom He wants to give countless opportunities to pass on the blessings that He will keep giving you. As someone who He knows will keep blessing many others in the power of the Holy Spirit. And ultimately, He sees you as someone in a new and resurrected body, like Him, rejoicing and reigning with the Son of God and all His saints forever and ever.

That is how He sees you. That is how we should see everyone else. Not as they are now. Be they high up or at the very bottom.
May the Lord help us to envision everyone transformed by the Holy Spirit, renewed and restored, with incredible potential for goodness, faithfulness, self-sacrifice, with infinite opportunities to extend God’s blessings to countless others if only we let our God to use us. There are no limits in what the Triune God can do through us. That is as true for you as it is for everyone else.

As Jesus passed on from there, he saw a man called Matthew sitting at the tax booth, and he said to him, “Follow me.” And he rose and followed him. And as Jesus reclined at table in the house, beho…

Do you know the only true God? People may say: “Yes, I believe in God. I believe God exists. I believe Jesus Christ was a real person. I believe that the true God is who the Bible and the Creeds reveal Him to be. Yes, I believe all that.” That is nice, but… not enough.
That doesn’t answer the question – do you know Him? We could almost conclude that if that is all that someone can say about God, then they really don’t know Him. They may have heard about Him, they may have learned what the Biblical teaching about God is, that He is one God, but also that He is Trinity. Not enough! That is not knowing Him!
But He wants you to know Him. When the Triune God reveals Himself to you, He doesn’t reveal Himself in some general way, He reveals Himself to each one of you personally. One to one. And He does it in a very particular way...

Now the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain to which Jesus had directed them. And when they saw him they worshiped him, but some doubted. And Jesus came and said to them, “All authori…

The Day of Pentecost. The giving of the Holy Spirit. It has raised a lot of questions. Such as - where was the Spirit in the Old Testament time? How were people saved back then? Was the conversion of 3000 just out of blue? And then all the confusion with those tongues, etc.
Lots of questions, indeed. We won’t be able to address and answer all of them at once. Today I invite you to meditate upon the following. What is the way of the Spirit? How does God work? And what are the effects of the Spirit? The way, the work and the effects. And may the same Spirit who descended on the Church on that first Pentecost guide us as well.

“When the day of Pentecost arrived, they were all together in one place. And suddenly there came from heaven a sound like a mighty rushing wind, and it filled the entire house where they were sitti…

"The darkness is descending upon the Earth. Your eyes can still catch the last warm beams of the setting sun. That is the last sunset you will ever see. You know that in a few hours in the thick of the night you will be captured by armed violent men.
That you will be falsely accused, mocked and severely beaten and tomorrow will be your last day in the land of the living. You will be executed, suffering the most excruciating of death invented by human beings.
The death on a cross. The sun is already low, and now you have a few moments to pray. What would you pray for? Who would you pray for?"

When Jesus had spoken these words, he lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, “Father, the hour has come; glorify your Son that the Son may glorify you, since you have given him authority over all f…

What do you think about those early chapters of Genesis? The ignorant world of course sneers and scoffs at these ancient texts. “So naïve! So primitive! What is wrong with you, Christians?!”
And many even among Christians have similar attitudes too. Suspicious skepticism. “Yes… those early chapters of Genesis... So, so not scientific.” What about you, what do you think, what is your attitude?
When someone thinks that this message is naïve, primitive and not good enough for us, enlightened people, they can’t be further from the truth. These few early chapters of the Bible contain so much of God’s wisdom that our lives are too short to properly exercise in it and to fully be able to appreciate it. True.

“Then the Lord God formed the man of dust from the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living creature. Then the Lord God said, “It is not good that the m…

Many hoped that this Jesus would bring Israel freedom. That He was the long-awaited Savior, the Messiah. But then He got arrested. And then He was crucified. Dead and buried. So many eyewitnesses saw it. But then… His body disappeared from the tomb.
From a heavily guarded tomb. No one could find it. No one could explain where it had gone. Then some women claimed to have seen visions of angels who declared that Jesus was alive. Some even claimed they had seen Jesus alive. What is going on?!
It is not easy to make sense of such events. This event could be properly called the number One mystery in the history of humanity. It is not easy, or rather we should say that it is impossible to make sense of God’s activities among us on our own. We still have the same problem today. The mystery of Easter morning hasn’t gone away.
Still today every next generation learns about what happened and often tries to make sense on their own, to figure it out, to explain it away, to grasp it with our “mightily enlightened reason” so that we could feel in control. But it isn’t working. We can’t resolve that Easter mystery on our own. Facts, testimonies, evidence of what happened don’t coexist well with our reason. We are faced with a mystery we can’t solve.

“That very day two of them were going to a village named Emmaus, about seven miles from Jerusalem, and they were talking with each other about all these things that had happened. While they were ta…
