Welcome to the Month of "Joy in Revival"
Psalm 85:6 (KJV) - "Wilt thou not revive us again: that thy people may rejoice in thee?"
"What shall we say unto the Lord? All we have to say is, 'Thank You, Lord!'"
As we step into the glorious month of August, our hearts overflow with gratitude for God's faithfulness. The month of July was indeed a season of supernatural enlargement, and we have every reason to declare with the psalmist:
"The LORD hath done great things for us; whereof we are glad." (Psalm 126:3, KJV)
God has been exceedingly good to RCCG Faith Chapel, Orleans, and the entire ON-3 Zone. We have witnessed His mighty hand through answered prayers, testimonies, growth, and divine visitations. For everyone who is still awaiting a personal testimony from the last season, I pray that the God of remembrance will visit you speedily and grant you a testimony that will bring glory to His name, in Jesus' mighty name. Amen.
August is the eighth month of the year, and in Scripture, the number eight signifies new beginnings, resurrection, renewal, and fresh opportunities. God declares:
"Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth..." (Isaiah 43:19, KJV)
Likewise, 2 Corinthians 5:17 reminds us: "Therefore, if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new."
The resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ on the first day of the week (Matthew 28:1) ushered humanity into a new era of hope, victory, and eternal life. Furthermore, the practice of circumcision on the eighth day (Genesis 17:12; Leviticus 12:3) marked entry into God's covenant, reminding us that we are His redeemed people, called to walk in His promises.
This month is also significant as The Redeemed Christian Church of God celebrates her 74th Annual Convention from August 3–9 at the Redemption City with the theme "Mountain Movers." We believe that God will once again reveal His mighty power through our Daddy GO and all anointed Ministers of God He will use at the event. As Jesus declared: “Have faith in God... Whosoever shall say unto this mountain, be thou removed... and shall not doubt in his heart... he shall have whatsoever he saith." (Mark 11:22–23, KJV)
By the power of the Holy Spirit (Zechariah 4:6–7), every mountain of sorrow, sickness, stagnation, failure, delay, poverty, and barrenness shall become a plain before you. Truly, "The hills melted like wax at the presence of the LORD." (Psalm 97:5, KJV)
From our Continental Overseer, this is the month of Jehovah Nissi. Psalm 20:5 declares: - “We will rejoice in thy salvation, and in the name of our God we will set up our banners: the Lord fulfil all thy petitions”. I prophesy into the lives of everyone going through one battle or the other, may Jehovah Nissi grant you victory in Jesus’ name.
For us at RCCG Faith Chapel, Orleans/ON-3, God has declared August to be our month of "Joy in Revival." Revival is more than an emotional experience—it is a fresh awakening to God's presence that transforms lives, restores passion, and renews our commitment to Christ. Joy is the inward confidence and gladness produced by the Holy Spirit that remains steadfast even amid life's trials.
Psalm 85 was written after God's people experienced His mercy and restoration. Yet they understood that yesterday's blessings could not replace today's hunger for God, so they prayed: -"Wilt thou not revive us again: that thy people may rejoice in thee?" (Psalm 85:6, KJV). This is the cry of our generation. More than ever before, the Church needs genuine revival—a revival of prayer, holiness, evangelism, love for God's Word, and unwavering devotion to Christ. Note that Revival is not God doing something new; it is God restoring His people to their first love.
Therefore, I earnestly encourage every member to draw closer to God this month. This is not the time to worship from a distance or become spiritually complacent. Instead, stir up the gift of God within you, deepen your prayer life, immerse yourself in His Word, and be intentional about every service, prayer meeting, and fellowship opportunity.
As you seek Him with all your heart, may the Lord revive every weary soul, restore every lost passion, renew every broken hope, and fill your heart with unspeakable joy. May August mark the beginning of a fresh chapter of spiritual awakening, victorious living, and overflowing testimonies for you and your household.
Welcome to your Month of Joy in Revival!
