🌟 COME JOIN OUR SUNDAY SCHOOL TEAM! 🌟

Do you like kids, laughter, and the occasional bit of organized chaos? 😄 We’d love to have you!

We’re looking for a few more wonderful people to join our Sunday School teaching team this fall, working with either our JK/SK or Grade 1/2/3 class.

And here’s the important part: you do NOT have to teach every Sunday! 🙌

You can teach as little as once a month, or share a class with someone and teach every other week.

📚 A great, easy-to-use curriculum is provided.
💡 Lots of ideas and resources are ready for you.
❤️ And you’ll have tons of support from Rev. Molly!

Youth age 15+ who have completed the babysitting course are also welcome to talk with Molly about this opportunity.

Teaching Sunday School really is one of the most rewarding — and most fun — things you can do at OUC. Just ask our long-time teachers Peter and Sheila! ☺️

Sunday School starts September 13, and we can’t wait for another year of learning, laughing, creating, wondering, and having fun together!

Interested? Curious? Even just thinking “maybe…”? Talk to Rev. Molly! 🌈

On Sunday, the GO Project participants offered a wonderful service centred on Ecclesiastes 3.

Through music, leadership, and thoughtful reflections, they brought energy, insight, and joy to our worship. We are deeply grateful to each participant for sharing their gifts with the congregation.

We also want to recognize the many people whose work helped make the service possible: those who prepared the worship space, operated the sound and livestream technology, welcomed people at the doors, supported the music, organised materials, and provided fellowship and refreshments afterwards.

Thank you to the GO Project participants, Rev. Molly, and every volunteer who contributed their time, creativity, and skills to this memorable Sunday.

This Sunday, the youth of the GO Project will lead our worship service and share their gifts through singing, piano, saxophone, drums, guitar, and reflections on their experiences this week at OUC and in and around Ottawa. Come support these gifted young leaders and worship with us!

The GO Project is an inclusive, faith-based program for youth ages 13–18. Through community service, social and environmental justice work, shared meals, reflection, and community life, participants explore how their faith and gifts can help create a more compassionate and just world.

We are grateful that Orléans United Church has been able to host the GO Project this week, and we look forward to being led by the youth this Sunday.

What a wonderful Christmas in July celebration!

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make the morning such a joyful and memorable event.

Thank you to our cast—August, Mark, Natalie, Nova, Molly, and Mike—for bringing The Little Lost Christmas Tree to life with such enthusiasm, humour, and heart. You made us laugh and reminded us that Christmas is right on time, any time of year.

Thank you to Katie and Scott for leading the music, and a special thank you to Katie for her beautiful solo.

Thank you to our terrific AV team, to everyone who arrived early to set up, and to all those who moved chairs, carried supplies, welcomed people, handed out treats, cleaned up, and took care of the many details that made the morning possible.

Special thanks to France and Paul for organizing coffee time and giving everyone a chance to gather and visit after worship.

Thank you as well to everyone who came, sang, laughed, donated school supplies and other items, and joined in the fun.

So many people contributed their time, energy, and gifts. Together, you created a morning filled with music, laughter, generosity, community, and welcome.

Thank you all for reminding us that hope, joy, peace, and love are never out of season—and that Christmas is right on time, any time of year.
