Dear friend of Brian and Patty Stothard.
My name is Bart Thomas, I'm one of the Pastors at Park Drive Church in Oliver, BC where Patty and Brian have attended regularly for nearly a decade. I'm reaching out to convey the farewell wishes of Brian's family and his lovely surviving wife, Patty to their many friends, acquaintances and companions.

I have been in good communication with Patty and her daughter Carrie throughout the past week. Patty is staying at her home on McKinney Road near the corner of Meadows Drive. As she is moving to be near her daughter Carrie and family, she is clearing out the house and furnishings for her move after the weekend (Nov 16).

With Brian's sudden passing (Nov 7), our church will feature a "farewell" during our regular Sunday worship service for Patty and Brian as they were known to many, this Sunday from 10am to 12pm at 6570 Park Drive. Patty and her family extend an invitation to any of their interested Oliver / South Okanagan friends and Brian's hiking party. The focus of this farewell will be to celebrate Patty and Brian living in and loving our small town and serving with our church in our community. The service will feature a short slideshow video displaying some favorite events and occasions and a special send off for Patty as she moves to Alberta. Cake will be served following the service.

As Patty will be out of town for the winter, this is an opportune moment to share your kind thoughts and condolences with Patty and her family. A separate memorial for Brian Stothard will be held in the new year when the extended family is able to travel in fron around the country. Brian's memorial is tentatively planned to be held at Park Drive Church in Oliver next Spring.
