🌿 Why Debriefing Matters 🌿

In the work we do with Mountain Refuge—sitting with those in pain, holding space for the hurting, and walking alongside the most vulnerable—it’s easy to carry more than we realize. The stories, the trauma, the emotions... they settle deep if we’re not intentional about processing.

That’s why debriefing is not just important—it’s essential.

🫶 It’s in the pausing that we release what we were never meant to carry alone.
🧠 It’s in the processing that we recognize what’s affecting us mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.
💬 It’s in the sharing that we heal—together.

We debrief not because we’re weak, but because we’re human. And the work we do is sacred. It deserves reflection. It deserves space. We deserve space.

We’ve been leaning into verses about resting in the Lord lately. In the midst of serving, holding space, and walking with others through their pain—rest isn't just a suggestion, it's a necessity. 🕊️

One verse that’s really been speaking to us is:
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” – Matthew 11:28

There’s something so powerful about knowing we don’t have to carry it all alone.

🏃‍♂️ Running the Race 🏃‍♀️
“Let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, fixing our eyes on Jesus…” – Hebrews 12:1-2

Life is not a sprint — it’s a long, winding, sometimes uphill race.
There are moments of joy and rhythm, and others of exhaustion and resistance.

But the beauty of this race?
We don’t run it alone.
And we don’t run aimlessly.

At Mountain Refuge, we’re learning what it means to run well —
• To cast off what weighs us down
• To fix our eyes on Jesus, not the distractions
• To find strength not in striving, but in surrender
• To cheer one another on when the climb gets steep

Some days, the race looks like worship.
Other days, it’s walking in silence, serving in humility, or simply showing up with a willing heart.

It’s more than just beautiful views and peaceful surroundings (though we have plenty of those too 😉).

Each day at Mountain Refuge is filled with intentional rhythms that create space for healing, growth, and encountering God in deeper ways.

💧 A river reminds us of His cleansing grace.

🌄 A sunrise speaks louder than words: His mercies are new every morning.
