Well, as I am now your “former” pastor, I asked for and was given permission to post this message.
One more project is checked off.
The seriously overgrown bushes under the cross are history and a beatiful new raised bed planter box is fully completed.
It is a thing of beauty!
I’d be lying if I said that I didn’t shed a small tear of utter joy. This is boots-on-ground ministry! Your work honours the legacy and dreams of the original builders of our humble little church. And, in one more little step, you continue to prepare the way towards a bright and hopeful future in the service of Christ and our of community.
One might even say that you are planting new seeds for the future.
Thanks be to God and thanks be for the hands through which God’s work is done.
We offer our thanks to the father and son team of Liam and Alex Muzichuk. Also present on the tools were Chris Schmidt and Mel Hagen.
Thanks also to Eagan Pallot and Marty Trellenberg who not only helped make the planter but helped last year to remove the old heavily overgrown bushes. The planter was originally the idea of Alex, Eagan, and Marty. They built the box over the winter months.
We’d also like to thank James of The Healing Forest who helped grind all the stumps last season before the winter snows.
Well done, everyone. You are all awesome.
Now it is up to our in-house expert gardener extraordinaire, Mrs. Elsie Machell, to guide a team through the next stages of getting the garden ready. (That means lots of volunteers! 😀)
So, even while St. Paul’s is officially looking for their next pastor, they are busy getting things ready just for you!
If you are looking for a place to worship, know that this wonderful, grace-filled community of faith welcomes you, just as you are.
Located at 5022 52 here in Olds, AB, we worship every Sunday morning at 10:00. And if you wish, there is always a time of fellowship and snacks after the service.
God’s peace and grace be with you…
Pr. O
