Youth on Fire Youth on Fire is a youth group from Grace Baptist Church in Ochre River, Manitoba. Hebrews 12:28-29

It is a group of Grade 7-12s who get together on a weekly basis to hang out, play games, study the Bible, and ultimately, get to know God more. Since we are receiving a Kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful, and please God by worshiping him with holy fear and awe, for our God is a consuming fire.

With summer nearing, this will be our last youth event before summer. We will be hanging out at Dauphin Bible Camp for the evening. Bring a friend and lets have some fun together.

5-6 pm - supper
6-8:30 pm - paintball
8:30-10 pm - hangout and snacks

The cost is $20, which will help cover the cost of the paintball supplies and food.

For paintball here is what it is recommended you bring:
- closed toed shoes (required)...you may want to bring old shoes as there is water and mud on the course.
- clothes that you are okay getting dirty (long sleeves and pants may help keep the bugs off)
- a change of clothes (you will likely get wet)
- bug spray

If you can't come for 5, come when you are able.

This Friday we will be eating 6 appetizers at 6 different locations. We will start at 6:15 pm at Buhlers, which is along the Eclipse on Hwy 20 going into Dauphin. There are 2 large boulders at the end of the driveway. We will only be at each location for about 30 minutes before we move to the next host, so if cannot make it for 6:15, you can always join us further along. We will end the evening at 10:00 pm at Rees's, which is south of Ochre River. If you need directions to Rees's, please let me know. Or, if preferred, we can drop off at the Hwy 5 and Hwy 20 intersection at 10:15 pm. If you would like to meet at the Hwy 5 and 20 intersection, please let me know, otherwise I will assume everyone will be picked up at Rees's.

We will need people who are able to drive between locations, if you are able to help out with that.

Wear something that you are okay with potentially getting dirty. It may also be a good idea to bring a change of clothes and a towel to wipe off with.

There are a few things to take note of for next weekend.

Friday June 17 we will be having a progressive appetizer supper for youth. What that means is that we will travel to a number of different homes and have an appetizer at each. I am looking for a few more people who might be willing to host and provide an appetizer.

On Saturday June 18 we have been asked as a youth group to run the concession for a family fun day in Ochre River. This will be a great fundraising opportunity for us. There are a number of ongoing youth expenses, with the most notable one being the child that we sponsor as a youth group. We need a minimum of 5 people to help at each shift (11:30-2:00 pm, 2:00-4:30 pm, 4:30-7:00 pm). Anyone who helps out will be also be eligible for a bursary to go towards the registration cost of a future retreat.

If you are able to help out with either of these, please message ASAP.

This Friday will be an evening of car hide and seek in Ste Rose. We will meet at 7:30 pm in the Chicken Chef parking lot. We will need a few drivers to make this happen, so parents, if you are able to stick around and help drive, please let me know.

At approximately 9:15 pm we will head out to Rank's, a little ways out of Ste Rose towards the Narrows to end the evening with hotdogs and a Bible time. We will be finished at 10:00 pm.

Also, the youth group has been asked to run the concession on Saturday June 18 at the Family Fun Day in Ochre River. Anyone who helps out will be eligible to receive money to go towards a portion of the registration cost of a youth retreat. We will be running the concession from 12:00-7:00 pm with shifts being from 11:30-2:00, 2:00-4:30, and 4:30-7:00. We will be getting together this Thursday, not Friday. We will be at Parkland Crossing in Dauphin from 3:30-8:15, preparing and serving the meal for the food bank. Come whenever you are able. If you have a baseball glove, bring it along for the end of the evening.
