The Danger of a Hardened Heart
Scripture
Ephesians 4:18 — “They are darkened in their understanding, alienated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them, due to their hardness of heart.”

Short Explanation
Paul connects idolatry with hardness of heart. When people continually resist God, their hearts become spiritually dull and insensitive. The result is darkness, confusion, and distance from the life God offers.

Sin never remains small. Over time it hardens the conscience and weakens our desire for God. Yet Christ graciously calls us back to Himself. He softens hearts through His Word and Spirit.

Reflection Questions
Have I become spiritually dull in any area of life?
Is there something God has been convicting me about that I continue to ignore?
Application
Take time today for honest prayer and repentance. Ask God to soften your heart toward Him again.

Prayer
Father, protect me from a hard and stubborn heart. Keep me sensitive to Your Spirit and quick to repent when I sin. Draw me close to You again. Amen.
