Crosspoint Fellowship is the English congregation of Chinese Evangelical Alliance Church of Toronto (CEACT). We exist to multiply disciples of Jesus Christ by bringing neighbours together to worship God, build community and serve the city. O God, make us a multi-generational community in the heart of the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). I realized I've been praying like God's job is to give me energy for a life I already planned, not to actually touch any of it.

To our students leaving for school 💙

Wherever you're going, find a church and a campus fellowship. Go every single week, even if you pulled an all-nighter. Sign yourself up to serve.

And if it's hard to fit in at first, if the friend groups have already formed and you don't know where you belong, don't let that stop you from going. Keep showing up with an open mind. Ask God what He's already doing in that community, and how you can join Him in it.

Then when you come home and half the faces are new and it feels a little disorienting, know this. We think about you. We pray for you. And we are thrilled every time you walk back through the door.

Very few English congregations in Chinese churches make it for the long haul. So if you sense that what we have here is special, you play an outsized role in keeping it that way. Even if you're only home five weeks a year.

We want this church strong for the next 40 to 60 years. A big part of that dream is you.

As the fall season draws near, we want to share a collection of our favourite moments from this summer.

These snippets are from our members volunteering at the local food bank, summer camp, Toronto community housing camps, and community events.

Crosspoint is dedicated to giving back to the community, supporting them however we can.

Lastly, we want to thank our amazing volunteers for all their work this past summer, as none of this would be possible without them.

Last Sunday, we had family worship where everyone, including kids, participated together in a special service designed for all generations on how Jesus is the way, truth, and the life.

We also had all of our Urban Promise team members share their experiences serving at summer camp.

A thank you to our wonderful serve team. This time we wanted to highlight our AV team who has spent the summer redesigning our church’s entire AV system, with a special thanks to Henry for his work and contribution leading the team.

Bring in gently used household items to swap. If you don’t have anything, please join us anyway as we will have other activities, snacks, and live music performances.

At 22 you ask if God is real. At 42 you ask something else.

"Is this it?"

Life seems fine. But it's not the one you drew up at 22. Your career hit a ceiling. Your finances aren't where you hoped. Your friends are scattered and plans rarely make it out of the group chat. And your loved ones are starting to get sick.

So somewhere in your 30s and 40s, you stop getting angry at God. You learn to accept the disappointment and not expect too much anymore.

From the outside, that looks like maturity. It looks like you're learning to trust God.

But underneath, when nobody's watching, it's just numbness.

You still have faith. You still yearn for God's presence. But slowly you stop praying, because you don't know if you can handle the pain of another no.

Following Jesus looks different in every stage of life. Which is why we don't want to just be a place people grow up in. We want to be a place people can grow old in.

And you can't get that from the back row on a Sunday.

We wrapped up July with an exciting week of VBS where kids participated in Arctic themed activities and learned about the Bible.
