Hello Trinity Friends,

It is hard to believe it is Labour Day weekend already! Summer seemed to fly by. For all those returning to school (students and teachers), we hope you have a smooth transition and a great start to the new year! This Sunday worship begins at 10:30 am. A reminder that the Fall Newsletter is ready and can be found here on our website Trinity Fall Newsletter

Next Sunday, we officially rally back to church with our special celebratory worship service followed by our annual church family picnic at Camp Tillicum (see later in this email for more information). On Rally Back Sunday (September 13th) you are encouraged to bring your school or work bags for a special blessing.

This year’s Sunday School theme is “Building Faith, Piece by Piece.” Through Bible stories, messages, and activities, we’ll explore how each piece of our faith helps build a strong foundation. We are the building blocks of the Church! Our Sunday School is a thriving place for young people to engage in faith formation - if you'd like to be part of the team, please speak with Lisa as we are always in need of Sunday School teachers.

Rally Back Picnic – Sunday, September 13
Join us at Camp Tillicum on the shores of Lake Nipissing. Sunday September 13th from 2 - 6 pm. All are welcome! There will be games, food, fellowship and a lakeside vesper's service to close out the event. Sandwich meat and buns, refreshments and ice-cream treats will be provided. Please bring a potluck appetizer or side dish to share, plates, cutlery and a lawn chair. Camp Tillicum is located at 774 Tillicum Bay Road (off of Hwy 654). All are welcome!

Apple Pie Season is here!
We will be busy in September and October with our Apple Pie Project. If you have never helped before, please consider joining in on the fun. Someone will guide you through each of the tasks. If you are not able to stand, there are jobs that require sitting on a chair. We will provide coffee, tea, and cold drinks. Please bring a snack for your coffee break. If you are only able to stay for a portion of the time, we still appreciate the help. Here are a couple of upcoming dates to remember:
Monday September 7, 9:00 - 11:00 – clean the kitchen
Tuesday September 8, 9:00 - 1:00 – Spice Bags (a sitting job) and Dry Pastry (standing in the kitchen, cutting the lard into the flour) and bringing them to the freezer.
Wednesday September 9, 9:00 - 1:00 – Spice Bags (a sitting job) and Dry Pastry (standing in the kitchen, cutting the lard into the flour) and bringing them to the freezer.
Our goal is to make 1200 pies this year and the price is $18.00 per pie (sugar or Splenda). The order forms can be found in your bulletin or on the table outside the office. Please get your orders in as soon as possible. Let your friends know and don’t delay as the pies go quickly!

NORTH BAY IS MORE THAN A PLACE — IT'S A COMMUNITY!

This Welcome Week 2026, we’re excited to introduce ourselves to our North Bay neighbours at Welcome to North Bay! Come by and say hello!

Happy Friday, Trinity Friends!

Here is what’s happening at and around Trinity this weekend and in the weeks ahead:

⛪ Sunday Worship | 10:30 AM

We are delighted to welcome our friends from St. Andrew's while their staff enjoy some well-deserved time off! Please stick around after the service for coffee, tea, and social time downstairs in the Fellowship Hall.

🦸‍♂️ Vacation Bible Camp is Next Week!

We’re getting ready to welcome over 75 campers and helpers for our Super Hero theme!

👉 Youth Volunteers: Reminder that our training session takes place right after church this Sunday from 12:00 PM – 2:30 PM.

✉️ 100 Envelopes Campaign: Foundation for a Faithful Future

We still have a few envelopes left to kick off our Capital Campaign!

How it works: Choose an envelope numbered $1 to $100 and donate that exact dollar amount (or more!).

Pick Envelope #7, give $7. Pick #50, give $50. (or more)

While taking Envelope $1 or $15 might feel like a modest contribution, every single envelope plays a vital role. If all 100 envelopes are filled, together we will raise exactly $5,050 for the Foundation for a Faithful Future. It’s a powerful reminder of what happens when a community comes together—small acts of stewardship compounding into significant impact. Thank you for supporting this initiative!

🕊️ Peace Alliance Commemoration Evening

When: Sunday, August 9 | 8:00 PM – 9:00 PM

Where: Ione's Peace Garden (in the alcove beside Trinity, corner of Ferguson & McIntyre)

Join the North Bay Peace Alliance for a peaceful gathering remembering Hiroshima and Nagasaki on the 81st anniversary. Feel free to bring a song, poem, or words of reflection to share.

🪑 Save the Date: Outdoor Joint Service

When: Sunday, August 30 | 10:30 AM

Where: Carmichael Church

Pack your lawn chair, sun hat, and sunscreen! The Trinity choir will be participating in this special 5th Sunday outdoor service.

🥧 It’s Almost Pie Time!

Sept 8–9: Darlene needs volunteers to help prep spice bags for the Pie Project! No experience necessary. Call the church office to sign up!

See you Sunday! ✨

Paired with it is a beautiful poem by Hafiz, translated by Daniel Ladinsky.

Whether you come to wrestle with life’s big questions or simply to share in fellowship, there is a space here for you.

Many of you will remember Marg Taylor, friend to many Trinity members and Trinity's Christian Education Director for many years. Marg passed away peacefully surrounded by family on July 17, 2026.

Hello Trinity Friends,

As our summer closure winds down, we have some important community updates and upcoming events to share.

But first, we wanted to share our concern and offer our hearts and prayers to everyone affected by the devastation—the people who have been displaced, as well as the wildlife losing their habitats. We offer our deepest gratitude and prayers for the firefighters and first responders actively working to contain the flames, as well as those offering shelter and hospitality to those displaced by the fires. We pray for protection, strength, and a swift end to the flames.
