Dear Sisters in the League, do you have a few hours to volunteer at this year's CWL Christmas Bazaar & Tea? Are you a talented baker, sewer, knitter, or just really darn good at mixing and mingling with members of the community. This annual fundraiser is successful because of the incredible efforts of our entire CWL Parish Council. Your generous efforts and incredible kindness support the parish, the community and our Sisters in Christ.

A huge thank you to this year's conveners for volunteering to help with our only fundraiser!

Helen Zappala, member of the Pro-Cathedral of the Assumption The Catholic Women's League of Canada, was recently presented with the 2026 Ontario Volunteer Service Award for her volunteer service with the Davedi Ladies for the past 15 years.

This award is given out annually to both adult and youth volunteers for their notable contributions and service to organizations, including non-profits, hospitals, community centres, libraries, schools and community associations.

The Pro-Cathedral CWL congratulates Helen who has demonstrated dedication and passion in support to her community.
