Nordegg Community Church

Are you in Nordegg and alone for Thanksgiving? We’d love for you to join us on Sunday for a Thanksgiving meal! We’re making Turkey, ham, mashed potatoes and buns oh, and pie!! Come with your favourite side dish to share (if you’re short on time and energy a bag of chips from your cupboard is totally acceptable…if that’s not realistic just come anyways).

Happy Father’s Day to all our fathers and mentors and men who have made an impact in our lives. We are so thankful for you and the tireless work you do to make the world a better place for those who surround you. We know it’s not easy and some days you feel like it’s hopeless, it’s too hard and you want to give up. We see you. You’re doing an amazing job, even in the hard moments.

As a small token of our appreciation we have an assortment of chocolate bars at the church for you! We’ll leave some on the stairs (look for a cooler bag or Tupperware container) if you want to come get one on your own time. We’ll also stop by around town to pass them out. If you’d like one come find us or stop at the church.

It’s almost Mothers Day! And that means we have flowers for all the Nordeggian moms! Make sure to come by the Church to pick one up anytime on Sunday. They’ll be on the stairs. They are hardened off so perfect for our Nordegg springs and moms who don’t want to bring their flowers in every night.

Kids and dads and partners make sure to come and grab one for your mom if she’s too shy to get one for herself! We love you moms, moms to be, women wishing you were moms, fur baby moms and all you incredible mentors out there! We wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for you!!

Also a huge shout out to The Plant Ranch for all the work you do. Your flowers are incredible and brighten our Mother’s Day every year. Thank you!

Nordegg was one of Alberta’s earliest planned communities, with streets radiating in a semi-circular pattern around its central core. The Nordegg Community Church sits at the epicentre of this historic centre and remains one of the few original buildings still intact and in active use today — serving as a living link to the town’s past.

The c***r is prepping…hope you can join us for a rowdy evening of carolling Friday!!

One of our favourite events is a week away! Walking into the decorated church on a starry night and smelling the hot c***r and goodies and hearing everyone singing their favourite Christmas songs, pyjama clad kids, ugly sweaters, and all the cozies does the heart good!

This isn’t about polished sermons or big programs. It’s about how faith shows up in everyday moments — All are warmly welcome to join in worship & fellowship in this historic community space built for song, prayer and listening.

Sunday Service begins at 10.00am
