Bethany Mennonite Church We're in Virgil, Ontario, where we want to follow Jesus Christ every day and serve our community.

Worship services at Bethany reflect a mix of traditional and contemporary styles. Hearing, experiencing, and responding to God are important activities of our private and community worship. Focusing on the God who created us prevents our lives from becoming fragmented by the latest loud influences clamoring for attention. Various groups of Bethany provide leadership in guiding a variety of activities to encourage and support a living faith in God through Jesus.

This week at Bethany - Teen Challenge

"Our mission is to demonstrate God's love by helping individuals become free from substance addiction and equipping them to live full and meaningful lives.
Teen Challenge Canada operates 12-month in-residence alcohol and drug addiction rehabilitation programs, for adults 18 years and older, with centres located in Alberta, Atlantic Canada, Saskatchewan and Ontario. We offer help and hope to those struggling with alcoholism and/or addiction to other drugs.

Jeremiah’s Bio A life-long singer and pianist, Jeremiah Sparks was choir director and church organist for Cherry Brook United Baptist Church for over 20 years and directed the Nova Scotia Mass Choir for several years before moving to Toronto. Stage roles include the role of Mufasa in the Toronto (Mirvish) production of Disney’s The Lion King. He has performed across the country in such memorable roles as Louis Armstrong (Satchmo Suite) and Lanier Phillips (Oil and Water) He is a major performer in the world renown production of Drum. And recently played “PA” in the Canadian premier of Color Purple with Neptune Theater His 2nd CD “Storms of Fear” is now available on iTunes.

Merry Christmas! It's been a good year, and as we're sure that you're starting to gear up for the Advent season, we thought we'd send some greetings from Botswana. Recorded on Kgale Hill, just on the western edge of Gaborone. As we started recording a troop of baboons started getting a bit rowdy in the area, so that's what the confusion in the video is! We've both felt so blessed by our support from you during our time here, and we've really been learning about how God uses his whole Church to carry out his work, as we could not be out here with out you, in terms of finances and prayer support. Beyond the Bible studies, leadership training, prison ministry, and special needs children ministry which we are currently facilitating, we are moving towards expanding each of these through training more young adults to continue in these places, and are hoping to begin a women's Bible study, a women's soccer team, and kickoff a more intentional urban agriculture ministry. Thanks for your love and support, and an early Merry Christmas to you! If there is anything else that we can send to let you know about the work that you are supporting here in Botswana!
