Our Bible Story today was "Healings in Capernaum" found in Mark 1:21-34; Luke 4:31-41 and kids learned that "With Authority and power, Jesus healed people"

As Jesus performed miracle after miracle in Capernaum, the people were amazed at the power, authority, and compassion that was unlike anything they’d ever seen before. Jesus' miracles showed that He cared deeply for hurting people and that His power came directly from God.

Jesus has all authority and power to heal the sick and save sinners. Anyone who repents and trusts in Him will be forgiven of sin and can look forward to the new heaven and earth where sin, death, and sickness will no longer exist.

Kids learned this week that their lives matter to God. In our Bible story from Judges 13–16, a man named Samson showed that he was special to God, even though he made wrong choices. God made Samson special, and He cared about him. Kids can know their lives matter to God too. Pray with your kids this week for specific people that you can share Jesus with. Remind them that God made them special.

Jesus pointed out the Samaritan woman’s sin so that she could believe He is the
Messiah. The Holy Spirit shows us our sin so that we might turn away from it and turn to Jesus to be saved. Anyone who trusts in Jesus receives the Holy Spirit and eternal life.

Thank God for the opportunity to worship Him anytime and anywhere. Those who believe in Jesus have received the Holy Spirit who is God living with us and in us. If He is always with us, then we can always worship Him.

as the Messiah, they receive eternal life and can point others to believe in Jesus too!

Ask Jesus to help you live in a way that points others to Him today. Pray for a heart that chooses humility and honours Jesus above yourself. How can you point your friends to Jesus today? How does loving them help them see His love?

Take time today to pray as a family—talk and listen to God.
Pray these four things:
1. Thank God that part of His plan to share Jesus with the world includes you.
2. Ask God to help share Jesus, which is important, exciting, and always worth it.
3. Pray for one another, asking God to help you share Jesus with others.
4. Choose one or two other people to pray for—that God would work through you to share Jesus with them and that they would want to trust and follow Jesus.

Take 1 day this week to highlight these 2 things and spend 3 minutes talking about them:

Younger Kids: Show them a piñata and ask, “What do you do with one of these, and why is it exciting?” Tell them that it is exciting to see the treats fall from a piñata. Mention that we can know the treats are for everyone. Sharing the good news about Jesus is also exciting because it is not just for us—it is for everyone!

Older Kids: Ask "How can talking about Jesus with your friends be a way of showing you care about them? What can happen when you share Jesus with your friends?

This week’s Midweek Bible story came from Acts 2 and taught kids that sharing Jesus is exciting. God sent the Holy Spirit to fill the first Christians, who then shared Jesus. God performed a miracle by helping the Christians share Jesus in different languages so everyone could understand. Thousands of people believed in Jesus that day. Kids learned that sharing Jesus is exciting because God works to change lives and welcome people into His family. Invite your kids to practice sharing Jesus with you, sharing in the excitement of their words and faith.
