Kids learned this week that their lives matter to God. In our Bible story from Judges 13–16, a man named Samson showed that he was special to God, even though he made wrong choices. God made Samson special, and He cared about him. Kids can know their lives matter to God too. Pray with your kids this week for specific people that you can share Jesus with. Remind them that God made them special.

Read John 4 : 1-42, "Jesus and the Samaritan Woman"

Jesus pointed out the Samaritan woman’s sin so that she could believe He is the
Messiah. The Holy Spirit shows us our sin so that we might turn away from it and turn to Jesus to be saved. Anyone who trusts in Jesus receives the Holy Spirit and eternal life.

Thank God for the opportunity to worship Him anytime and anywhere. Those who believe in Jesus have received the Holy Spirit who is God living with us and in us. If He is always with us, then we can always worship Him.

Play a fun “Name Game” with your kids! Sit together and take turns calling each other’s names in different, playful ways—whisper it, sing it, say it in a silly voice, or clap out the syllables. Try to say your names backward! Talk about how it feels when someone says your name. Remind your kids that God knows their names too! God made each of us special, and He loves us.

This week, take 1 day to ask these 2 questions and spend 3 minutes talking about them:

Ask your younger kids: “What is your whole name?” Share with them why you chose their names and if they are named after anyone they know. Remind them that their names are special to God.

Older Kids: Ask "Do you ever wonder if anyone cares about you? How can knowing that your name matters to God help when you feel that way?"

Kids learned that their names are special to God. In 1 Samuel 3, God called Samuel’s name and gave him an important message. God made Samuel special from head to toe, and God made us special too, we are uniquely designed! As you are out and about this week, talk about different people you know, say their names, and remind your preschoolers that their names are special to God.

Read John 3 : 22-26 "John Pointed to Jesus"

John pointed people to believe in Jesus as the Messiah. When people believe in Jesus
as the Messiah, they receive eternal life and can point others to believe in Jesus too!

Ask Jesus to help you live in a way that points others to Him today. Pray for a heart that chooses humility and honours Jesus above yourself. How can you point your friends to Jesus today? How does loving them help them see His love?

Take time today to pray as a family—talk and listen to God.
Pray these four things:
1. Thank God that part of His plan to share Jesus with the world includes you.
2. Ask God to help share Jesus, which is important, exciting, and always worth it.
3. Pray for one another, asking God to help you share Jesus with others.
4. Choose one or two other people to pray for—that God would work through you to share Jesus with them and that they would want to trust and follow Jesus.

Take 1 day this week to highlight these 2 things and spend 3 minutes talking about them:

Younger Kids: Show them a piñata and ask, “What do you do with one of these, and why is it exciting?” Tell them that it is exciting to see the treats fall from a piñata. Mention that we can know the treats are for everyone. Sharing the good news about Jesus is also exciting because it is not just for us—it is for everyone!

Older Kids: Ask "How can talking about Jesus with your friends be a way of showing you care about them? What can happen when you share Jesus with your friends?

This week’s Midweek Bible story came from Acts 2 and taught kids that sharing Jesus is exciting. God sent the Holy Spirit to fill the first Christians, who then shared Jesus. God performed a miracle by helping the Christians share Jesus in different languages so everyone could understand. Thousands of people believed in Jesus that day. Kids learned that sharing Jesus is exciting because God works to change lives and welcome people into His family. Invite your kids to practice sharing Jesus with you, sharing in the excitement of their words and faith.

Read John 3:1-21 "Jesus and Nicodemus"

Nicodemus was a religious leader, but he needed to be born again to enter the kingdom of God. Jesus shared how the Spirit causes people to be born again to new life. Anyone who believes in Jesus will be born again and receive eternal life.

Pray for people whose doubts or questions about faith are keeping them from believing in Jesus. Ask God to use the Bible and the people around them to answer those questions and help them know the truth about Jesus. How can we help those who doubt or don’t believe the good news about Jesus?
