A new year doesn’t always need noise.
Sometimes it needs a pause.

This Sunday, we’re beginning the year together — kids included — with worship, prayer, and reflection. We’ll sing familiar Christmas songs, listen to God’s Word, and make space for a few voices from our church family to finish a simple sentence: “Joy to the world, the Lord has _______.”

It’ll be a Scripture-filled, participatory service as we step into the new year under the blessing of God.

We’d love for you to join us.

Let’s talk about something a lot of people carry into Christmas but don’t say out loud: shame.

Maybe you blew up at your kids this year. Maybe your marriage is hanging by a thread. Maybe you’ve gone back to a habit you thought you’d beaten.

And now Christmas shows up and you feel like a hypocrite singing “Joy to the World.”

Listen, shame wants to tell you that you don’t belong. That you’ve messed up too much. That Jesus is for “better” people.

But the Bible says Jesus came for sinners, not the squeaky-clean. He didn’t step into the world to pat good people on the back. He came to rescue broken people who know they need grace.

So this Christmas, instead of running from God, run to him. Tell him the truth. Bring him the anger, the addiction, the affair, the apathy. He already knows — and he still came for you.

And read the Christmas story again. See the Saviour who traded a throne for a manger and then a cross.

Hey, I’m in your corner, and so is Jesus. Love ya’!
