Creekside Community Church

Creekside Community Church Creekside celebrates being a diverse and inclusive community of Seventh-day Adventist Christians. Click About to check out our Vision, Mission and Values.

Our vision is to create a safe place for people to be real about life, faith and purpose. Our Vision - What we believe
We are called to be an authentic community of faithful Christ-followers,

Our Mission - What we believe God wants us to do
To reflect God’s love as we serve and share together. Our Core Values - Principles that guide our internal conduct and our relationship with the world aro

und us. We're passionate about all of these!

• Community,
We celebrate diversity while being unified in pursuing our relationship with God and each other. We are committed to having no one stand alone. 1 Cor 12

• Contributing to positive change
God calls people to make a difference. We will be responsive to the needs of people, defend/uphold social justice, serving as Christ served, and leading as Christ lead. 2 Cor 5:17, John 13:1-17

• Contemporary
(Church Fresh) We are always willing to re-examine our traditions and practices and pursue new approaches to worship and teaching, with relevance or relevant to the larger community. This includes relating to our culture in positive dynamic ways while remaining faithful to the Bible as our final authority. 1 Corinthians 9:19-23, John 17:17,18, Hebrews 4:12

• Compelling Life and Message
We will live out a strong benevolent faith in word and action in order to share Christ’s offer for a more abundant life to all– now and eternally. Rather than aligning ourselves against people, we will represent Jesus as the gracious host in a hostile world. John 3:16,17

• Challenging
We believe growth is normal in all aspects of life and will therefore respectfully, yet boldly challenge each other to stretch, struggle and to grow in God’s grace. 2 Peter 3:18

🌿 This Week at Creekside 🌿

“Good Grief” - is that an oxymoron?
While we often view sorrow and sadness as something negative, there can be deep growth in learning to process pain, especially when we lean on the Lord and the support of a loving community through life’s storms.

Come hear Ruby Klein (Edwards) share her story of growing in grief.

Our Lord told us, “You will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled” (Matthew 24:6). The Greek word for “be troubled” means to be terrified, to cry aloud, to scream. Jesus was telling us not to panic, even when we are surrounded by wars and rumors of war.
How is that possible? The answer is wrapped up in the peace we can find from God’s promise, God’s presence, and God’s plan.
