From Healthy Pictou County

Good morning all,

We hope this message finds you well.

We are reaching out to reconnect following our engagement with members of the African Nova Scotian community last year as part of Healthy Pictou County’s regional Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion work with Shumba Consulting.

The perspectives of African Nova Scotian community members remain critical to ensuring this regional work reflects lived realities and contributes to lasting, meaningful change across Pictou County.

As this project continues to evolve, we would like to return to share what we have done so far, reflect back what we heard from your community and from others across the region, and create space to discuss the calls to action and practical next steps emerging from this work.

This session is not about starting the conversation over. It is an opportunity to report back, demonstrate how community feedback has informed the work to date, and continue building together by identifying where collective attention and action are still needed.

Please share this opportunity within your networks, contacts, and with any community members who may wish to attend.

Your help in circulating this invitation is deeply appreciated.

Session DetailsDate: Tuesday, June 23rdTime: 10am-12:00pmLocation: Ward One Recreation
