Here at Prairie Alliance Church, we practice a 4 week rhythm: UP, SIDE, DOWN, and PARTY. Inspired by Pastor Nathan Weselake's The Upsidedown Life, this rhythm guides the life of our church from Sunday morning liturgies to housechurch activities.

Meet Pastor Parker! We asked him these questions to get to know him better:

1. What is your official title?
"Campus Pastor - Neepawa."

2. Please describe your role as if you were talking to a kindergartener.
"I oversee the life of the congregation at our Neepawa Campus by keeping the community attentive to God."

3. If you were going out for lunch today, where would you go?
"Brews Brothers, and I'd get the Sweet and Spicy Korean Chicken Sandwich."

4. What do you love about Neepawa?
"I love this town! There's no place I'd rather be. I love the sense of community that we share, that I actually know my neighbours and my neighbours know me. I love the walking paths that Sarah, Hank and I get to enjoy. And I love the Filipino culture that is so deeply embedded in thsi town; I never thought I'd have such a multicultural experience in rural Manitoba, and its been amazing to learn from and be loved by my friends from the Philippines. Mabuhay!"

5. What are you reading right now?
"I'm reading Deuteronomy for the Church by M. Eugene Boring, Humility by Andrew Murray, Renovation of the Heart by Dallas Willard, and Incarnation by T.F. Torrance."

6. If someone played an office prank on you, who would you assume it was?
"It would be a collection of students from PAC Youth. It's their primary love language."

7. Please describe your most tragic haircut.
"During the height of COVID, Sarah was my barber. The first few haircuts she gave me were on point, but during the last one (and it was the last one for a reason), while mid-haircut, Sarah started laughing hysterically because she got distracted while wielding the trimmer. There was no saving it... Thankfully, it was winter, and I could just go with a toque."
