Is faith enough to make someone leave a high-paying job? And how much of one’s life should be dedicated to Christian living?
For Brother Romelito Pagoya, faith became the turning point that reshaped his entire life. At 17, he drowned in vices in an attempt to escape poverty—forgetting God and abandoning his faith. Years later, while working in Qatar as an OFW (Overseas Filipino Worker), he unexpectedly came across the preaching of Brother Eli Soriano, a moment that stirred his heart and awakened his search for truth.
Realizing the deceptions of his former religion, he embraced the Christian faith and became part of the Members Church of God International (MCGI). Yet his journey was far from easy. His wife’s lack of interest in his newfound faith weighed heavily on him—more than the scorching heat of Qatar. Through patience, sincerity, and living the teachings he learned, he eventually guided her to walk with him in serving God.
Then came a test of even greater magnitude: giving up his well-paying job abroad to return home, choosing instead a humble life of peace and service. This courageous decision led him to become a Locale Deacon, dedicating his life to God’s work.
If you, too, are seeking clarity, peace, or a deeper understanding of God’s words, we warmly invite you to the Members Church of God International Mass Indoctrination, held Monday to Friday at 7:00 PM PHT. You can attend at any coordinating center or locale near you, or you may also join us online through our official social media accounts and channels.
