Grace and Peace be with you Selby family from our Lord Jesus Christ! When was the last time you felt embarrassed, was your focus on what others would say? Maybe it was because you didn’t dance as well as others at a party? Or maybe you were nervous to speak publicly? Maybe you are even now embarrassed about a physical feature about yourself? We often worry so much about the opinions of our peers and how the world judges us, but we don’t need to be. Today in scripture we will explore how we don’t have to worry about such things, through the story of God confronting Adam and Eve in the garden over their hiding from him. We will explore how the only judgment we should really care about, the only judgment that matters is God’s. That as part of the Christian life, we should ask ourselves who told us we should be embarrassed, like God asked Adam we should ask, “who told you that you were naked?”. So let us come together now in worship of the true righteous judge of all the earth. This morning our own GloryLand Band will be singing ‘Because He Lives’.
