EID SALAT IN SHA ALLAH WILL BE HELD AT THE ISLAMIC CENTRE OF NANAIMO ON WEDNESDAY MAY 27TH 2026.
Note: THERE WILL BE TWO EID SALATS.
FIRST SALAT:
Takbeer: 7:00
Salat sharp:7:30 followed by Khutbah.
SECOND SALATt:
Takbeer start at: 9:00 AM

Eid Salat. 9:30 AM followed by Khutbah.

There will be an Eid get together program for the Nanaimo Community In Sha Allah on the following weekend.

We will share the info for that program shortly.

Please keep all of those in your duas who are suffering around the world. May Allah (SWT) accept all our good efforts in his way. May Allah (SWT) make all our good efforts and our Zurriah the best of sadaqa jaria for us., Amin.

It is a weekday. Our neighbours around ICN will be going about their day as usual. Please drive and park carefully around the Masjid and through the neighbourhood, Jazak Allah.

MAY ALLAH (SWT) PROTECT US ALL AND STRENGTHEN US ALL.

I pray this email finds you in the best of health and Iman.

We are pleased to announce the Community Eid program at Beban Park,

2300 Bowen Rd, Nanaimo, BC V9T 3K7

Sunday March 29th, 2026

Time: 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm

There will be Henna arrangements, Face painting, games and Jumping Castles for children.

*Note:
Pizza, and coffee will be provided by the Islamic Center.
Henna, Face painting and Jumping Castles are also being arranged.
You are welcome to bring any food item or snack to share. Whatever food item you bring to share, please bring it in two dishes, one for sisters and one for brothers. Please don't forget to take the leftover food and dishes with you, since we don't have any storage facility. Anything left behind will be discarded.

Eid Mubarak:
Eid salat at Islamic Center of Nanaimo tomorrow Thursday 19th of March.
First Eid Salat 7:30 am
Takbeer start at 7:00 am
Second Eid Salat 9:00am
Takbeer start at 8:30
In sha Allah.
It was a short notice for us to prepare for tomorrow
We were ready to celebrate Eid on Friday at Beban park but now in Sha Allah we are doing it tomorrow.
At the center we don’t have space to provide breakfast and food due to lack of space.
If you like please bring only some sweets and coffee to share.
We have booked the Beban park hall to celebrate after Eid celebration on Sunday March 29th. In Sha Allah we will share the details later,

EID MUBARAK TO ALL

Assalamu’Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh Dear Brothers and Sisters.

Just a reminder to come join our Saturday LECTURE and Community Potluck Iftar which will be held at ICN on Saturday February 25th, 2026.

1- Program:
Lecture By Sheikh Haider 4:40pm
Please come early to join and benefit from the lecture by Sheikh Haider. He is a wonderful and a knowledgeable speaker and connects with youth very well. Please bring your families and children to be part of the great opportunity.
2- Iftar followed by Salat ul Maghrab followed by dinner.

Please note: whatever you bring to share for Iftar and dinner, it is brought in two dishes - one for the sisters and one for the brothers. Please don't forget to take the leftover food and dishes back with you, since we don't have any storage facility.

--Ramadan Kareem
As per BCMA moon sighting policy
the First day of Ramadān is on Wednesday, February 18, 2026

1- In Sha Allah Salat ul Isha at Nanaimo Islamic Center will be at
7:30 followed by Salat ul Taraweeh. (Tuesday, February 17, 2026)

2 - In Sha Allah Iftar will be offered every day at ICN. Please join and participate.

3 - Potluck Community dinner will be on all Saturdays of Ramadan.

After getting the feedback from the community that that they will join if the Rakaat of taraveeh can be shorter.
In Sha Allah we will start with first eight Rakaat short one page per Rakaat. At the end of eighth Rakaat Sheikh Haider will deliver Khatirah pertaining to the that nights recitation. After the Khatirah we will complete the juz, In Sha Allah.
Salat ul Taraweeh Program:
- Starts 5 minutes after Salat ul Isha ends
- 8 Short Rak'ats
- 1 pages per Rak'at
- 1 Juz per night
- 3 Rak'at Witr at the end of Salat ul Taraveeh led by Imam Shheikh Haider
- Khatmal Quran on 29th of Ramadan or earlier In Sha Allah

اللهم سلمنا لرمضان و سلمه لنا وتسلمه منا متقبلا

--"O Allah! Safeguard us for the month of Ramadan (by making us see the month of Ramadan fit and healthy), and safeguard the month of Ramadan for us (by making the conditions in it such that we take maximum benefit from it) and accept it from us."

We will also inform you of any other programs or any changes in the program for Ramadan.

May Allah (SWT) give us the power to gain the best out of this most blessed month of Ramadan, Amin.

Peace, mercy, and blessings of God be upon you.

My dear brothers:
By the will of God Almighty:

We would like to inform you that Sheikh Haidar Hammoud will be visiting our Islamic Center in Nanaimo on Friday and Saturday, January 23rd and 24th.

The program will be as follows:

First, on Friday, January 23rd, Sheikh Haidar will deliver the Friday sermon. After the prayer, anyone with a question or inquiry should not hesitate to ask.

At sunset on the same day, after the Maghrib prayer, Sheikh Haidar will give a lesson. We hope you will attend, participate, and get to know Sheikh Haidar as the permanent imam of our mosque, who will begin his duties at the start of next month, God willing.

2- On Saturday, January 24th, Sheikh Haidar will give a lecture between Maghrib and Isha prayers, God willing. Your attendance is important, my dear brothers.
