Prayers for Healing
You are invited to join us on Thursday, August 13 for a special Service of Prayers for Healing, inspired by the healing services of the Iona Community in Scotland.
Healing has always been an important part of the life and ministry of the Iona Community. Their understanding of healing reaches beyond physical illness to include the healing of painful memories, broken relationships, divided communities and nations, and our relationship with the earth. As Ruth Burgess and Kathy Galloway write, “They are all part of the ministry of healing.”
In this service, we will have an opportunity to offer prayers for ourselves, for others, and for situations in our world. There will also be an opportunity for those who wish to receive individual prayer for healing.
Meet in the Sanctuary at 7:00pm
All are welcome.
