Motion Church, let's pray!
Last night at prayer meeting, there were 20 people present - all of us praying and interceding for different needs; one of which was the war in the middle-east.
Here's a note from our PAOC headquarters - let's agree together as we seek God in all the areas mentioned in this post.
1 Tim. 2: 1-4 (CSB):
First of all, then, I urge that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for everyone, for kings and all those who are in authority, so that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and dignity. This is good, and it pleases God our Savior, who wants everyone to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.
As a member group of the World Assemblies of God Fellowship (WAGF) we, The Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada, join our brothers and sisters around the globe in calling for urgent, focused prayer as events unfold across the Middle East. As we pray for the specific items below let us also pray for the global workers and members of sister Christian fellowships throughout the region including in Israel, Jordan, and other nations.
Dear Assemblies of God Churches,
Over the weekend, conflicts erupted across different parts of the Middle East. In this time of global turmoil, we call upon the Body of Christ to stand as one, united in prayer, relentless in our missions and be watchful.
The outbreak of war between nations grieves the heart of God, yet they should not take us by surprise. In these times of global shaking, may we allow the Holy Spirit to stir us to stand in the gap, as intercessors, peacemakers, and carriers of the Father’s heart.
War is devastating. It leaves cities in ruins, families torn apart, and hearts seeking peace. We are deeply concerned for our believers, families, and churches affected by the current crisis, and we pray that God’s grace, strength, and sustaining peace will uphold them in this difficult hour.
We call upon every General Council to rally their churches to arise in fervent intercession and active mission bringing hope and healing to the nations.
Let’s pray for:
A quick cessation of war
Divine protection over innocent lives
Covering for mission global workers and Christians serving in the region
Protection for medical and relief teams
Supernatural encounters for the afflicted, that they may experience the Presence and Peace of God.
Lasting peace and restoration over affected nations and peoples affected.
As we lift our prayers together across the nations, we declare that darkness will not have the final word. The Church will arise, the Gospel will advance, and the Kingdom of God will continue to move forward with unwavering faith and hope.
May this be a moment where prayer leads to action, compassion fuels mission, and the Church stands boldly as God’s instrument of peace in the earth.
Yours faithfully,
